Sorry for the long absence

Hey, Some of you may remember me. I have been MIA from 2IF for a few months. DH went back to the urologist for MFI in October. He was supposed to start taking clomid again at that time. He put it off for 2 months! So instead of getting to have a consultation and plan of action at the end of January, we are having to wait until March. For those that haven't dealt with this the reason we have to wait so long is that it can take up to 3 months or 90 days for the clomid to affect his sperm analysis results. We have to wait until those results are in to see if DH is facing another vericocele repair surgery or procedure. I have been doing my best to be patient and wait this out. The longer we wait the more I just want to adopt, but DH is not ready for that. Today a good friend had her second daughter. I want to be happy for her, and I kinda am. But I am also extremely sad for myself. I have found that dealing with births and pregnancy announcements has been easier. I just find it harder when someone has what I imagined having. For example I really wanted 2 girls close together in age. This friend already has a daughter who is about a year and a half old and now has a second little girl. That is exactly what I wanted. I also have a little bit of a hard time at church. There are several little girls about the same age as DD at our church and almost all have a baby sibling. DD has also begun saying that she wants a baby all her own. It breaks my heart. She loves babies and wants one that is "hers". Anyway, I've been meaning to get back on here and today just spurred on that need.

TTC #2 since 6/2010
10/2012 DH diagnosed with Epilepsy
A few failed IUIs summer 2012 and 2013. 
DH taking clomid and waiting to see if he needs another vericocele repair. 
Hoping for a 2015 baby or babies. 
Wishing, hoping, waiting.

    Hi, welcome back! I'm sorry you've had some scheduling set backs. It's never easy waiting around when all you want to be doing is moving forward. Hopefully YH's SA results will come back looking great so you can get the ball rolling.

    Two DDs 10/08 and 08/10, no primary IF
    TTC #3 since 10/2011 - dx unexplained/weak ovulation
     3 BFN clomid + TI cycles, 5 BFN clomid/gonal f IUIs, 1 mmc IUI
    2/19/2014 IVF #1 Unexpected low E2 (oversuppressed) -> increased to max doses = 3 or 4 follicles, converting to IUI
    BFFP Saw 1 beautiful heartbeat at 6w6d, follow up u/s at 9w showed mmc. Eff this.
    NTNP 5/2014-9/2014, OPKs and TI 10/2014 - 1/2015. 
    RPL testing all normal, AFC, AMH, and FSH all normal. 
    IVF 1.2 1/22/2014 natural cycle start, AFC 28, 300 gonal f/150menopur. 
    ER 2/3/15 14R 8M 3F w/ICSI Day 5 transfer on 2/8/15 of one "Grade A+" blast and have TWO frosties!

    Welcome back! I joined the group a couple of months ago. Sorry that you had a rough day - my son is too young (almost 18 months) to ask for a sibling but he is so social and loves being around other kids so I know the day will come when he asks about why he doesn't have a sibling. It makes me so sad to think about that. :(

    I'm sorry, we are mfi too and if my hubs had waited if probably of beat him with a frying pan!!! It seems March is the timeline for a lot of women on here- so maybe that us a good sign!

    Welcome back!  I watched my toddler "pet" an infant's arms and face this past weekend, so I'm pretty certain I have a baby-lover on my hands too.  SIF is heartbreaking on so many levels.

    Welcome back! My DH is currently taking clomid to see if it helps, so I am just glad to see that it worked for you guys the first time around. We are going to have a follow up SA in the next two weeks to see if it is working for us.
    I am in the same position as you with the sibling thing. My DS is 3 and it feels like everyone I know at church already has a second. They are constantly asking us if we want another of if we are working on it. It's hard! Good luck to you guys!

    TTC #1 January 2009
    January 2010 SA results: Count 16 million, Motility 40%, Morphology 2%
    January 2010- Surprise BFP! DS born 10/1/2010 :)
    January 2013 TTC #2
    September 2013 Repeat SA: Count= 1.7 million, Motility= 24%, Morphology= 2%
    November 6th 1st Appointment with RE: diagnosed with severe MFI
    Testing to try to determine a cause & possible treatment for MFI
    CD 3 blood work for me. RE does not want to repeat my HSG/lap at this point,
    but may want to before moving forward with any fertility treatments.
    After seeing the uro, DH is currently taking lots of supplements and clomid to try to boost his count. We will have a repeat SA in February to see if it works.
    Follow up SA numbers are: Count= 4 million, Motility= 40%, Morphology= 1%
    Uro wants us to have another follow up SA 5/9 to see if we see further improvement than we are back to the RE to make a game plan.

    SA 5/9/2014 Count: 12 Million, Motility: 60%, and Morphology 2%. We will be doing iui #1 in late June

    IUI #1 6/28 clomid + ovidrel, post wash count 3 million total sperm= BFN

    IUI # 2 7/21 clomid+ ovidrel. post wash count 900,000 total sperm= BFN

    IVF planned for early November- cancelled due to cyst

    December IVF #1- 22 eggs, 20 mature,16 fertilized

    12/9 Transferred 1 4AA Blast, 6 frosties

    My response when others ask about us having another is "We're just waiting for God to bless us again." But it is hard to hear it. I'm pretty open about our infertility struggles and that helps. Clomid helped the first time, but we also did a vericocele repair about 4 months before conceiving. Clomid alone could have helped us to conceive, but we decided on the surgery hoping it would save us from struggling later. Makes me laugh to think we will probably have to do it again any way.
