NBR: Happy end to a tough day!

Woke up a bit green with a nasty, throbbing noggin and just knew this wasn't a good day.  A few hours later, our younger cat, Tequila Rose (Tikka for short) hopped out of the litter box and did a butt drag on the carpet, complete with skid marks.  I figured she was just backed up (like me, right now- maybe us pregnant ladies should try the butt scoot?), but on checking her out, she had a bloody little butt.  Of course this turned into an emergency vet visit, just for what turned out to be impacted anal glands.  Vet bill that was NOT in our incredibly tight budget.  Now THAT is what a pregnant lady wants to play with/handle!  She's all good now, and glad to be home and chillaxing with us and her big feline brother, but I felt crazy drained.

Cue the smile- my boyfriend's family dropped off at the door a "pregnancy care package" for us to enjoy- a gorgeous gift basket with ginger ale, my gummy prenatal vitamins, Fit Pregnancy magazine, cocoa butter, Preggie Pops, ginger tea, a few books on pregnancy, a journal, and a bracelet for the dad-to-be.  It was absolutely the sweetest and most thoughtful gift- apparently the idea of his step-sister, who I get along with really well, and his mom.  It got me weepy!  It was just so nice to know they were thinking of us and took the time for such a thoughtful gesture.  I'm wrapping up my evening with a can of the ginger ale, feet up, bumping and snuggled with my poor little kitty.  

Just needed to vent a little and share something positive, since thus far I can really only commiserate about nausea and give advice on bra sizes and what to cook for dinner.  ;-)

    I know, it's the most awkward thing- when I called his mom to thank her and told her about the cat, she was like "I'm glad her anus is alright."  Things you never want to hear... Thanks though!

    I laughed out loud for a good 5 minutes at the thought of a punch of pregnant women scooting their butts on the ground to attempt to poop. Seriously, my hubby thinks I'm drunk hahahaha!

    But in all seriousness, I'm glad your kitty is ok! And that care package sounds awesome!! :)
