Online Photo Library - NBR

I want to upload all of Landon's photos in one spot online so that family and friends can access them when they want to and order any prints. I want to keep them all on one place so it's easy to manage. I uploaded a bunch onto Shutterfly and tried sharing them with family but the link has all the photos in one group, rather than separated into different albums. DH tried to download one photo onto his laptop as a screen saver and couldn't. I'm not sure I want to commit to this site and am wondering what else there is to choose from. I have heard of SnapFish and I think I used it the past too, but don't remember if I liked it. So, of course, I am turning to the sage advice of my Jan14 ladies for any and all things! What do you use/recommend for photo sharing??? TIA!

  • I've been using snapfish since 2009. I've never used it but I'm going to look into shutterfly because I have coupons/codes for free stuff.

  • I use Shutterfly and love it. When DD was born I started a share site through them. You can put whatever pictures up that you want family to see and share milestones. They can order prints through it. You send a user name and password just to the people you want to have access to it.
  • @4lilmunchkins What is like to share photos with family using Snapfish?

  • @SandFHasse So, instead of "sharing" the photos on Shutterfly using their share function, you just gave people the username and password for the original storage account? I think that might be better. I can set up a separate account for private photos, like the three of us in the OR during the c/s.

  • For DS I used photobucket.  I dont know if people could order prints but I know they could download the pics to their computers.

  • @LabPupLuv Once your pics are uploaded, it asks you if you want to share with anyone. I only share with my mom since she lives in a different state. You simply type in an email address and add a message if you wish. The receiver can order the pics you sent them. I'm not sure if you have to be a snapfish member in order to do so.
