coughing question

I had a bad experience the beginning of this month, LO was in the hospital with rsv and pnuemonia. She never lost her appetite or was cranky, just a bad cough...anyway, the cough went back to dry for a few days but has progressively gotten juicier...anyway Im just so nervous its coming back...can babies get pnuemonia and rsv so close together? Is sometimes a cough just a cough?Back to the doctor we go tomorrow.

Re: coughing question

  • Coughs from viruses can last weeks but not a bad idea to get her checked out just in case.
  • No idea, sorry. Sending healing thoughts your way.
  • My little guy was in the ER and overnight in the hospital for RSV on January 12th! I so feel your worries every single time I hear him cough. However, his cough has finally subsided (after about a total of 3 weeks of it) and we just continuously clear his nose before each bottle.

Did they give you any sort of breathing treatments you can do with your little one, if it comes back? They did give us one and said he may need it every so often if we begin to hear a little wheezing, especially when he gets a cough or the weather gets very cold.
