Re: ***2IF Grad Check-In***
I am 27 weeks now and we have our 28 week appointment on Thursday. I was told by the MFM to make a 32 week appointment for an ultrasound with her, so that she can do a growth check and make sure the placenta is holding up well. I will make that appointment this week. I am feeling fairly good, but having a few issues. We have been painting our basement (which has been in the process of being finished over the past few months), and it has really taken a toll. I have been so achey and stiff and sore. Today, I had a weird episode where I had this large flashing floating spot in my vision and it lasted about 45 minutes. It was bad enough that I had trouble reading. Scared me a bit, but it passed. I don't think I could have pre-eclampsia this early so I'm not sure what caused it. I will mention it to the OB on Thursday, I guess.
QOTW: We haven't been able to start on the nursery because of this basement project that is taking up all of our time and energy. We have a crib bought and other furniture ready to go, and we've picked out the color to paint the walls (pale purple). And for decoration, we are hanging three water color paintings that my 7-year old DS painted last year, which I already have framed and ready to go. And I've been working on a Noah's Ark cross-stitch project that has been taking me forever, and I plan to make it into a blanket once the cross-stitch part is finished.

2IF issues
I've been fighting with my insurance company because they denied the progesterone injection medication my doctor wants me to start next Monday. Not sure what I'm going to do if they don't approve it because I really can't afford $3800 a vial. Never thought I'd be dealing with this now after all the meds we've paid for over the last two years. Ugh!
QOTW: Are plan is to move DD into her new "big girl" room and use her current room for the nursery so we have started working on her new room. After she moves then we will be able to do the few minor things (including getting new furniture) for the nursery. Her new room is definitely going to take a lot more time since it needs new everything (down to the baseboards and closet) so I'm hoping we can keep up our momentum and get it completed soon.

I'm 13 weeks. I still feel pretty nauseous and tired. I had my NT last week and thankfully, it showed low risk for chromosomal abnormalities. I have an appointment with my OB next week. My OB told me that I'll get an u/s at every visit because since I had a D&E with my last pregnancy, he said I'm at risk for a shortening cervix. I'm thrilled I'll get to see the baby so often, but the thought that I may end up on bed rest freaks me out. I teach 8th grade US history as well as group exercise classes, and chase my toddler around, so it would be a HUGE adjustment. FX it won't happen.
QOTW: I haven't done any planning yet. I know that I need to get my DD into a twin bed soon so that I can begin thinking about the new LO's nursery, so I guess I'm starting there.
QOTW: Before we even knew this baby was a boy, I had found a set of prints with construction trucks on clearance, so I think we are going to frame them for the nursery. DH painted a train and DS's name on the wall for him, so is going to do some type of wall mural and name again. I am waiting for the a/s in a month before we really start planning though. Currently, the nursery is our guest room so we will keep the bed in there as long as possible for visitors (all family is out of town) before they get sent to the basement to sleep. I am very excited it is finally going to be a nursery!
Related question--anyone found a glider or rocking chair that they love and is not crazy expensive? I really want a new one since our old one wasn't very comfortable, but I don't know if it will get as much use this time around with a 4 year old keeping us busy as well so it is hard to justify spending the money.

I'm almost 13 weeks. Had my first appt with my OB last week & another ultrasound there. Baby looks great. Looks like my official due date is now Aug 12th but I will be having a scheduled RCS at 39 weeks. I am starting to feel better but still having some digestive problems I bought some prunes last night & if they don't help things I'm going to try some Colace.
As for nursery planning, sadly this LO will not have a nursery to decorate at least for right now I am having to come to terms with this. We tried to sell our 2 bedroom house last year but we never got a good enough offer so we are stuck here. We've weighed the pros and cons of trying to sell & buy another house before baby comes vs. staying and it makes more sense to stay. So baby will sleep in our room. But we are doing a few renovations to our bedroom to make more room for baby. Hopefully we can be moved into a bigger place before this LO turns 1.
