Re: Broken capillaries

  • I don't know if there is anything you can do, but I have the same thing.  My boobs were super itchy the other day and when I scratched them, I left these awful marks from all the broken blood vessels.  It looked terrible:(

  • From what I've read it goes away after birth. I'm super fair too and see veins and capillaries all over too.
  • wow, thank you for posting!  i was totally freaked out about these weird red things on my chest for the past few days!  they look terrible, but i'm glad to know i'm not the only one and that they apparently aren't an indicator of impending doom...

  • Yep. I've got them in the same spot. If they don't go away after pregnancy I'll have them lasered.

  • I'm having this issue on my belly. Not cute! At least it's hidden but it's insanely difficult to look at in the mirror. It's an adjustment enough getting bigger, now this? I suppose I should consider it a trophy, er, something like that.
  • I get them around my eyes if I've been throwing up. I'm assuming that's what it is, anyway. They always disappear in a few days. Now I gotta check out my boobs haha

  • I get them all the time and they usually clear up in a day or two. I currently have them on my legs and boobs, boobs from growing and legs because the where itching like crazy and I scratched too much.

Agreed. Far enough away and it almost looks like red acne or something, the red little splotches. I'm already thinking about getting a boob job after I'm done having kids as I plan on breast feeding and ALL of my GFs tell me theirs looked like tube socks afterwards. [-X :-SS

I mean, I'm all about taking time to get my body back and not stressing about it, but I'm still a woman and I want to feel like one even though I'm a Mommy now.

Oh yeah. Call me vain but I'll do everything I can to feel good about my body again. If I'm lucky exercise will do the trick, but when I look at my Mom I'm thinking boob lift and tummy tuck it is then!

Sorry, but not always. I have some on my face that I got when I was PG with DS. I'm very fair as well with red hair and everything, and my dermatologist said she would have to laser them. I think it's pretty inexpensive though. Mine said $50 to do all three spots, but you have to stay completely out of the sun for several months afterward.

This has been happening to me, too, all over my chest and collar bone area :( . When I've gotten them in the past they've always gone away eventually but I don't ever remembering having this many!! Y'all are scaring me with the body changes! I've had two kids and my body bounced back but I was much younger. I'm crossing fingers for bouncing back this time, too. I think part of that is just getting older too - I have friends my age who haven't had kids and they're getting a pooch, even with no kids. Not sure about the boobs, though. Tube socks ew!!
  • I noticed this on just my left boob a few weeks ago. I figured it was just from them growing!

  • Would a bit of concealer help?...they make some especially for body areas other than your face.

I'm getting broken blood vessels in my eyes (I'm assuming from throwing up?) and it is NOT cute.  I look like a druggie half of the time!  Major yuck!!

  • Think concealer and/or powder would work to help hide it? :-/ Sucks girly

  • Someone once told me that eye drops for red eye help to lessen hickies. I'm not sure if it actually works, but it may be worth a shot.
  • I've gotten the ones on my chest this time. I got one right under my eye with my DD that never went away, but I pretend it's a beauty mark. I'm not letting a laser near my eye.  :-O

  • I used to get this really bad when I had my bleeding disorder and I would scratch myself.  It sucked.  Mine eventually faded (like a bruise) after a week or so, but you can try putting a little powder make-up over them if they aren't really dark.  That worked for my lighter spots.  The dark ones, I said eff it and just rocked it.
