What's the cutest thing your LO has done in the past 24 hours?

I'm sure we all have a thousand adorable anecdotes to share. so we'll limit ourselves to just the past day or so. What's the cutest thing your LO has done recently?

We took DS to the zoo yesterday. He's obsessed with our cats and even has his own "word" for cat. I pointed to the lions and told him it was a cat and he got super alert and sat up in his stroller to look for the cat. When he saw the lion he started waving and saying "Hi, cat" in his babble way (which was more "ha, ta!"). He was so excited to see the "cat".

So cute! Do you have a cat at home? My DS also loves animals, especially our cat and dog. He recently learned to give hugs and last night he gave our dog a big hug. He was so excited he bounced up and down while hugging her and saying "Ah ah ah", it was adorable! Our dog did pretty well with it, she actually loves snuggling with me & DH.

eta just re read post and saw you said "our cats" so guess you do have cats at home :)

  • I just love it when she gets so excited when I get home from work. She starts smiling and sometimes squealing. If I don't say hi to her first, she will throw a tantrum. Yesterday evening, she was just running in circles, I guess trying to stay awake. She would run in to the couch, then turn and run to the chair and do it all again.

  • DS loves to dance. While sitting he will bend his back in and out when ever he hears music, if he is standing he will bend his knees so he bounces up and down. I always sing "go baby, go baby!" And where ever we are he will start dancing. <<<333
  • DS was watching me blow kisses and said "muah" it was cute
  • We took Rowan for a weekend away to celebrate my mother in laws birthday (it was a surprise). She's recently learned to do raspberries and likes to do them during inappropriate but hilarious times. Nothing like a good "Thhhhhbbbbbbtttttttttttttt" to bring some levity.
  • We visited my grandmother today and she has a ceramic rabbit on the floor.  DS loved it.  He was "talking" to it and crawled over to the rabbit and was petting it on the head.  So cute!

  • giving kisses!  she finally started doing this, and it's adorable.  She gives her baby doll kisses, the dog kisses, herself in the mirror... they are usually just an open mouth slobber attack, but it's adorable nonetheless.  And her attempts to make the smooching sound are even  better - she basically just smacks her lips but it is too cute!

  • DS love these "crunchies" from gerber, so I'll ask him if he wants some and he'll start crawling over to the pantry. Then when I show him the open container he smacks his lips together while deciding which piece he wants. It cracks me up!

Our DS does too- the Ranch ones! I try not to give him too many but once he sees the can he HAS to have some
  • I'm not sure who he gets this from but this past week he's into raising his left arm and hand and blabbing away as he shrugs his shoulders. He does it over and over again as he babbles in about something. He is so animated about something and has to express it "so I say what are you taking about? I don't know what you're taking about man! " it looks like what he is trying to say , it is hilarious!
  • During church today DS waved his hand up and down in rhythm to the music.  It was adorable.

DD's latest word is "meow". She was reading to herself. She had one of her books open and was turning the pages. She kept softly saying "meow" to herself as if she was reading "meow" in the book. She likes to play this game that I have affectionately dubbed "cops and robbers". She will be holding onto something, something she is totally ok to play with, and when she sees me approaching she will "run" (walk as fast as she can and usually she gets so excited about it that she falls and either scrables back up or crawls away), hiding the object from me. I let her into the pantry sometimes to play with the items that she cannot upset too much. Yesterday evening she was in the pantry and wanted to play "cops and robbers" she tried to "get away with" a sack of rice. She clutched it to her chest as I chased her down. She ran to the corner of the kitchen, giggling like mad, dropped the rice as I approached and flung herself against the wall (looking back at me) in a way that looked like I was about to frisk her down!
DS does the "cops and robbers" thing, too! Only sometimes he's just crawling somewhere empty handed when he looks back at me and giggles like mad trying to "get away." I'll say, "Where are you going?!" and grab him. Of course, it's hilarious to him every time he gets caught ;)

DS has just learned how to clap, which is adorable. He holds one hand out and hits it with the other. He also likes to "sing" when he hits anything rhythmically, so sometimes he'll start clapping and singing, "Ahhhhh!" It's pretty awesome.
