Temp spike at 9 dpo and temp drop at 10 dpo

Hi everybody! I am so confused right now. This is my first time charting so I'm still learning how it works. Yesterday at 9 dpo i had a huge temperature spike, and today at 10 dpo my temperature dropped some. I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad. Ive heard you can have an implantation dip at 10 dpo but isn't that kind of late? We have been trying for over a year now and have had 2 miscarriages in a row, so we are really anxious to get pregnant again. Please help!

Posting a chart stalk thread is fine. But it looks like this is your first post on TB. We would love it if you could post an intro telling us about yourself. The post at the top of the board has a lot of helpful info.

To link your chart, go to your dashboard. Then click sharing --> get code, and copy-paste that code here. But without seeing your chart, I can say that one low temp doesn't mean anything, it's the overall pattern.

That link worked. Your chart looks fine, it looks like a normal LP temp pattern. Why the open circle yesterday? If you took your temp late, or after sleeping restlessly, that could account for the higher temp.

Not sure what to tell you really. It might be or it might just be normal for you? There are so many factors that can affect your chart. That high temp you have right before the dip has an open circle so you can't really rely on that TBH.

My advice, keep temping and test at 12dpo. If you get a BFP please head straight to PGAL.

I took it yesterday around the same time i always do in the morning, but was not able to chart it till later on, i just never changed the time.

Your chart looks pretty normal to me, too. Your temp dipped a little bit, but it's still well above the cover line so I wouldn't worry about it. Good luck!

You can go in and change your entry time so FF won't give you the open circles. I wouldn't read into too much at this point.

I just wanted to chime in with Pink and Red that posting chart stalk questions outside of the crazy train is okay.

We have a lot of very knowledgeable ladies who never look at that thread but will chime in on a chart stalk request. Chart stalks on the board used to be very normal.

OP - try not to read into one temp. Your chart looks very normal.

When you said "huge temp spike" I was expecting a whole degree or so, but .2 is hardly even a spike, let alone a huge one. Please keep in mind that it can take a few months of dedicated charting to see any sorts of patterns, you can't obsess over any one or two temps alone, you have to wait for the whole cycle to unfold and see what patterns emerge then. Also, it's critical to remember that temping is meant ONLY to confirm ovulation, and possibly see if you have a short LP, it's in no way meant to predict pregnancy. The prettiest charts can end in getting your period, and the ugliest charts can end in a BFP. Worrying about a couple temps at 9-10 DPO is a waste of time, as long as you were able to confirm ovulation earlier in your cycle that's really all of the important information you should expect from your chart. Reading too much into later temps will just be crazy inducing, try to keep in mind what exactly charting/temping is for.

The implantation dip can take place anywhere from 5-12 DPO from what I've read. If you look at my chart I JUST had a dip yesterday. The dip may OR may not mean anything. It's really just a big waiting game. I would recommend posting this to Crazy Train or any other Q's like this as they are the real pros.

A few things:

1. Please read the sticky post at the top of the page that says, "Read here first." You just walked in and started asking questions without an intro. We're a community of women, not just a group of anonymous strangers.

2. It seems like you're asking us if we think you could be KU based on your chart, which is never ok on this board.

3. I wouldn't really consider that a "spike" and a "dip" because it looks like a pretty typical chart pattern.

4. You shouldn't read too much into your chart temps after O. The chart can only show ovulation and how long your LP is. I've had some "implantation dips" in cycles when I didn't even have sex in my fertile week, making it impossible to be pregnant. Pretty charts =/= pregnancy. FF has FAQ section and this is addressed there.
