In your face Verizon!

So my palm is on the verge of death. Actually I think it's the battery, and the fact that lately at work it is constantly searching for a network. So now it won't even hold a charge. Well, I'm not in the position to buy a brand new replacement one at full price, and I'm not eligible for my free or discounted until July. And my warranty expired. Well my coworker called them, and worked her magic, basically explained the situation and refused to back down, she was sent to a manager threatened to cancel service, and they agreed to replace my Treo with a Centro (which is an upgrade) at the 2 year discounted price and they are giving me a $70 rebate card! I don't know how she did it, but I'm getting a new phone on Monday. Wooo hooo! One for the little guy.

  • I have always found Verizon fairly understanding if you keep your cool.  DH and I went over our minutes by 600 last month and he talked to a CSR who upped our plan for us and will fiddle with our bill so it hits for last month.  Essentially we will be paying about $50 over our normal bill instead of $240.

    DH does not work customer service. He can't even get himself a decent phone and we are paying over $80/month for two phones on a share plan. So don't come whining to me about how you need me to get him to lower your bill because I already whine to him enough about it and he doesn't seem to be able to do a damn thing!
