Need ideas

I have a friend who just found out some bad news about her 15 month old. Nothing life threatening, but definitely life altering. I'm not nearby, so I can't be there with her. I would love to send her something that would make her and her lo smile.. Grandparents have all come to help, so I know food is covered. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

    Without knowing the situation it's hard to say but what about a gift certificate for pictures? Gift card for a store to help with costs? Visa gift card maybe?

    Hard to make suggestions with so little information. How is it life altering? What is it going to make more difficult for her? That's where you should start. For example if it's something that is going to cause serious financial strain on her, maybe a little gift basket type thing with some diapers and wipes and and other necessities since costs for those add up quickly with a baby.

    Can I ask what the life altering news is?
