Best anti-itch lotion??

With the belly expanding more rapidly now, I find my skin becoming increasingly itchy as it stretches. Does anyone has a lotion they'd recommend that helps combat itchiness?? I could claw at my stomach for hours!!

Thanks ladies. :)

  • Drink lots of water. Like 2 liters a day. It really helps. Any lotion with a low water content helps.

  • No brand I can recommend, but I would avoid petroleum and petrochemicals like mineral oil, paraffin, etc.

  • There is an oatmeal kind, I think it's Aveeno that my best friend swears by.
  • If the skin stretching is causing the itchiness, and not, say a rash or some other affliction, perhaps moisture and hydration would be sufficient. Something specific for itching would just add another chemical in the mix and doesn't really get to the root of the problem. Just a thought.

Sarna lotion. Regular or sensitive skin. Kind of expensive, but can be found next to calimine usually.

Every time I see Sarna in the stores it makes me laugh. In Spanish, sarna is mange (in animals) and/or scabies!

  • My OB told me to get Dermasil. Seems to be helping out.

  • I've been using Palmer's Cocoa Butter and like it.  Also, my aunt gave me an oil called Mother's Special Blend that I've used a couple times.  It's a little messy to use every day though.
