Font carry and baby weight

At what weight could you no longer comfortably wear your LO on the front. I LOVE wearing dd in front and all the snuggles. She sleeps great this way too. But she's now nearly 21lbs and I just can't seem to get comfortable anymore. She leans to a side in there and that side of my back hurts. Any thoughts or is this just something that no longer works well?

Depends on the carrier. I don't think there's a set weight really but if she's leaning, that may mean you need a taller carrier or if wrapping a different wrap job.

Front carry started to hurt my back when my kids hit 25 lbs or so. After that, I wore them on my back most of the time, but would do a front carry if it was going to help them sleep or I was sitting down etc.

DS is about 25lbs and I still wear him on my front...I'd rather put him on my back but he hates it because he has no access to the boobs.

He loves to snuggle in, latch on, and hang out in the carrier.

If I get the waistband right on my hips, we're good, but if it's too high or too low, oww! I use an ergo.

Dd is 28lbs 38in tall. I just got a kinderpack preschool sized carrier and she feels weightless. she took a 90 minute nap on me today in it while we were at the aquarium and even had her in there 20 minutes before she crashed and no discomfort at all. if you want to keep doing a front carry there are carriers you can use.

I still wear my son in front. I use my toddler Tula for short trips and my wrap for longer ones. I think my wrap is the most comfy. I do a FWCC and it feels great (with the panels spread not bunched). My Tula feels great too, but it doesn't distribute like the wrap does. He's now about 30lbs and I could keep going with it. We're just now trying back carries though.

Thanks, we have the smaller Tula and I just love it so I'm hopeful I just need to make some adjustments. She latches on too so front carry is great for us. Just need to sort out what's going on now. I'm short-wasted so I wonder if that is part of the problem.
