I am an irish dancer and irish dance teacher (yes, like Riverdance

. We have an active group of adults who perform with the dance school where I work that I am part of. I quit dancing at about 15 weeks, but am still teaching at 29 weeks (although not doing much but talking/standing during class and some very low impact demonstrating.) My girls will be here in March sometime. I'm wondering how realistic it is that I would be able to resume dancing for this summer? We do most of our shows and festivals in mid-June and early-July. I am planning to take about 8 weeks off from teaching and have a sub lined up, but I'd like to be back dancing as soon as I can. I'm hoping to breast feed so that will be something to work around, not to mention inevitable sleep deprivation. I will also need to regain stamina and fit into my dance dress again in order to perform. I'm probably overly optimistic, but is being active 2-3 months after delivery realistic? I'm curious when you were able to resume being active after your twins were born?

Re: Resuming activity after twins
It's possible - just take it slow and listen to your body.
