I have my heart set on a water birth at Manchester Hospital (its the closest place to my house that does it). However, 2 of the doctors at Manchester OB GYN don't do it at all. Um....then why offer it? Has anyone had a water birth there?
I know many Moms who have used it during labor but none that actually gave birth in one. I go to the same practice as you...wanted to use it for labor, but required an emergency csection. Good luck!
I go to Manchester OBGYN and birthed my first child at Manchester hospital. I also needed to have a c-sectioned, but wanted a water birth. I was told by one of the dr's (female) that she couldn't reach in the tub to catch the baby so she didn't feel comfortable doing water births. But my water broke and so I wasn't able to use the tub anyways. I think in a birth center or home birth with midwife they don't care about that, but the hospital definitely did.
