This is the weekly June '14 PgAL check-in. This is a place for anyone due June 2014 that has suffered a previous pregnancy loss. PgAL is an exciting but scary place so please feel free to share your thoughts, concerns, milestones and vents. Mostly, this check-in is to remind all of us that we are not alone in the journey and to offer support along the way. Check-in is every Saturday.

Sorry about last week ladies. I didn't realize until today that I never posted any questions. Sheez!

How far along are you? 21w 5days!!

Team? Pink

Got the courage to buy anything yet? We bought baby girls bedding, the double stroller, our extra camera for our monitor and a co-sleeper. I have a few other little things that I picked up at an awesome baby thrift store we have. I told myself I wouldn't buy anything until Vday but couldn't help myself.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Nothing until the beginning of February. My dr bumped me back to 4 week appts. now.

Any PgAL crazy you want to add? Any baby awesomeness this week? We are starting to be able to feel baby girl on the outside here and there. DH felt some kicks last night and he is so in love.

QOTW – Where did you meet your significant other? We actually met on MySpace...is that even around? We were both living in Virginia Beach but more small time people and I was the only girl around that knew how to ride a snowmobile.

Got the courage to buy anything yet? We're looking at new houses right now so instead of bringing in a bunch of stuff that we'd have to move, I've started to buy weekly gift certificates to BRU and Carters. I figure if i put it on a gift card, I won't accidentally spend the money if i put it away

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Physically, I'm so constipated, back pain, tired still. Emotionally, I'm having some ups and downs. I'm excited but I'm also having my issues from my last son's birth creeping up. Nothing physical, just the emotions and fears of having another preemie and going through al of the stuff that I went through.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? I found out a week ago that I have borderline GD so I had a meeting with a nurse and dietician this week to review how to check my sugars and the diet that I must follow. It's not difficult to follow, I just have to do better meal planning becuase I feel like I"m not eating enough for the baby.

Any PgAL crazy you want to add? Any baby awesomeness this week? I hope everyone has a great week! I feel like every so often I have PgAL craziness. I still obsess with checking toilet paper, will it ever stop? I feel like now my PgAL is mixing with my trauma issues from my last birth, which is really effing me up. Baby awesomeness, we had our A/S this week. It was awesome to see. Everytime she'd push too much, he'd jump. She kept saying oh i felt that, did you? and we would just laugh. Also, he's moving like crazy, whiich makes me smile. I was telling my husband that I forgot how much I love baby movements and how it makes it all real. Even the crazy painful ones at the end when you have a head or feet in your ribs.

QOTW – Where did you meet your significant other? It was a Thursday and I had just had made dinner for an ex boyfriend that I thought maybe we could get back together. The dinner was at his house because he was on house arrest for DUI, what the hell was I thinking. Anyway, while he was scarfing down the dinner and talking all about himself, I looked at him and thought to myself, I'm so over you this is not what I want. I told him I had to leave, grabbed my purse and was out. On the way home, my BFF asked me to go get a drink so I agreed. While we were out, she ran into an ex and started talking. My DH is best friend's with the ex, so he started talking to me, I thought he was doing the whole wing man thing so I was a total bitch and he walked away. An hour or so later, he came back over and was like I'm not leaving now no matter what you do to make me leave. We ended up hanging out al night, he was so funny and I didn't once look at the clock for him to leave me alone. We had our first date two nights later and have been inseperable since.

We had a great scan and doctor is not worried about about coming too early! I'm do relieved!

Baby is so active. He wouldn't sit still to take good pictures during the a/s. He's already taking after his dad.

Got the courage to buy anything yet? I bought one outfit then had a breakdown in the store not knowing what size for her to wear if we do cloth diapers ... FTM fail!

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? normal for a pregnant lady

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? I have my 4 week check up on Feb 5 and the A/S rescan on the 6th. (i'm nervous).

Any PgAL crazy you want to add? Any baby awesomeness this week? She wakes up in the morning if she hears Dad's voice! It's really sweet until Hubby uses it to his entertainment when I am trying to nap. Not cool!

Got the courage to buy anything yet? Yes we actually bought furniture for the nursery- got a slammin deal on Craigslist! (We're addicts).

How are you feeling
physically/emotionally? Feeling ok- trying not to get worked up about my bloodwork results for neural tube defects as I have heard many ppl get false positives.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? We are seeing a specialist this Friday for the high AFP- hopefully they'll bring us good news.

Any baby awesomeness this week? Am feeling the babe move a TON!! Love this! I hope everyone has a great week!

We actually went to the same high school, but never spoke to eachother until we were ~27 and out of college!!

Any baby awesomeness this week? Told DS (he's 2) and he had the most adorable reaction. He is so excited that there is a baby in my belly. I hadn't planned to tell him for quite awhile, but his reaction was so sweet.

Got the courage to buy anything yet? Bought a mom-mobile yesterday! Traded in my little Chevy Cobalt for a newer Toyota Highlander... I'm in love

Other than that we've just got a few little things I've picked up on sale here and there. We did start a registry finally, though!

How are you feeling? Pretty great physically and emotionally, although my long night shifts are wearinge out...I'm back to first trimester tiredness after work!

Any updates or appointments coming up? Little dude looked awesome on the anatomy scan last week. Still on every 4 week appointments for now-next one not until mid February.

PGAL crazy/baby awesomeness? PGAL crazy was in full swing leading up to the a/s, but soooo much better now! Add in the awesomeness of feeling movement more and more frequently and we're doing great.

DH even felt a few kicks for the first time last night...and stared at my belly with a shit eating grin for quite some time!

QOTW : we met in high school and really became friends senior year ... In our AP calculus class! Started dating the summer after graduation and 10.5 years later here we are...

Nope. I haven't even wanted to go look or buy maternity clothes yet.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally?

Stressed out, in pain and unsure of everything at the moment. Also I've had this weird pain in my lower abdomen that I'm not sure if I'm being crazy or if I should call the doctor. It's really painful and near the right hip bone but not on it and it doesn't feel like growing pains.

I felt the baby move! In my options it's very strange feeling but I am thankful.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? This week has been an emotional roller-coaster. Some guy backed into my car in a parking lot while I was waiting to turn into a space, my grandfather passed away, we had a great appt. at the dr. and a wonderful a/s scan that told us we're having a girl!!!

Any PgAL crazy you want to add? Any baby awesomeness this week? Not really. Still not sure whether I'm feeling baby (If I am, it's not consistent). Just ready for that assurance that she's moving and grooving! She was so active on the a/s scan that I'm excited to feel all of that.

QOTW – Where did you meet your significant other? We met on a teen retreat I attended. He was in the band that came for the weekend. He actually liked my friend but felt bad asking for her screen name and not mine since I was standing next to her, lol! We were friends for awhile before he 'saw the light' and we started dating (long distance at that!).

Got the courage to buy anything yet? Mainly clothes. We actually need to get our registry done pretty soon here!

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Physically, the heartburn is being a bitch and it's getting hard to sleep at night. My hips hurt after just a couple of minutes of laying down. Gotta get a pregnancy pillow! Emotionally, doing well after all looked good with the a/s!

How am I feeling - TIRED. Feel asleep at 8pm last nigth and slept to 7 this am....oh...and so OVER the snow...we got more this morning...

Updates/PGAL crazy...- Had my anatomy scan last monday. Everything looks good for the most part. Baby Girl has a SUA though so I have earned extra monitoring. Growth looks great though so they don't seem overly concerned and I am trying not to stress it...starting to feel "movement" rather than flutters and the "is it gas" type of movement...hubs thinks he felt something monday night which was re-assuring to him after he heard about the a/s results

How did I meet my SO... Hubby and I were in the same fraternal organization in college,,, though at different universities...we met at a local alumni event several years after graduation....so I married my brother....and had 20+ fraternal brothers at our wedding that were from all over the country since we are both pretty active as alumni. its awesome being able to go to just about any major town and knowing at least one person there!

Got the courage to buy anything yet? Nope, but we have a ton of stuff from our daughter, so we won't need to buy that much. We hope to get a new car this spring, so I can't imagine doing any other big purchases until after that is taken care of.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? I am doing alright. Counting down the days until my a/s. I have started feeling a bit better. I can walk farther, pick Lucia up more, and in general be more physical without getting cramps! We did 3 hours at the zoo on Thursday, and today we went to the beach, and though I'm exhausted after so many months of doing so little, I don't feel crampy or anything. I'm hoping that's a sign that the placenta moved!!! I have gotten to the point where I feel Viviana every day, which is so amazing and reassuring. H even felt her 2 days ago, which was perfect.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? My anatomy scan is on Friday. I cannot wait for them to check on her heart, and to check on my placenta previa. Time is passing slowly to get to it, but when it gets here I'd really love for everything to be perfect. We'll see how nervous I get as the week progresses!!

Got the courage to buy anything yet? We bought a cute little outfit on clearance at BRU and we just did our registry last weekend. We also made a build a bear after our a/s on Jan 9th.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Feeling pretty good!!! Tired and lots of heartburn!

This isn't exactly baby awesomeness but DH got a promotion at work this week!!!!!! I'm so proud of him, he's worked really hard for it!!!

QOTW – Where did you meet your significant other? We actually met at a party through mutual friends. I knew his best friend for almost a year before I met DH! And we may have started out as a drunken one night stand in the back of my Jeep Liberty!!

Lol but I guess I can't call it a one night stand since we've been together 7 & 1/2 yrs!!

Physically I'm doing good. Getting less comfortable in my normal clothes, so it's almost time to get new ones! Emotionally I am still nervous. I was ok for a few weeks, but now I'm scared for the anatomy scan. I just feel like I don't want to get my hopes up.

It's taking all I have not to call up my doctor with an excuse for why I need to hear the heartbeat again.

We met forever ago (like age 4) my babysitter and his family lived in the same culdesac and so I basically grew up with him next door. We started dating when I was 16. Together ever since!

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Okay more or less. Seems like I have more aches/pains this time around. And I worry about every twinge. Emotionally I'm a mess. I thought reaching the milestone where we lost our last son (18 w) would make it easier but I feel it's harder.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? It's been a tough two weeks since we found out about our baby boy's heart. It wears on me but I am trying to be positive and pray everything will be okay.
Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Febuary 11 and 12 I have appts. I will be monitored more frequently now.

QOTW Where did you meet your significant other?

We met in HS marching band when I was 14 and he was 17. Started dating a year later. Got married after 8 years of being together and its been 16 years in all. I am a lucky girl.

The only thing we actually bought was a plush punk elephant. It was too cute to pass up! Now we are doing research on all the essentials but holding off buying anything big for a while.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally?
Feeling great emotionally! It's setting in that we are actually going to have a baby and our lives will change forever! Physically not bad, just some abdominal discomfort once in a while.

We went to the same college but actually met on an online forum first. We met in person freshman year on campus and haven't been apart since. Can't believe we'll be together for 11 years this summer!!!

How far along are you? 20wks on Monday. Half way!

Team? If you’ve chosen and name and want me to include it in your info, let me know. A total surprise to everyone, including myself we are team BLUE again! Name: Gavin Stone. We all thought it was a girl this time due to how different I was feeling and carrying.

Got the courage to buy anything yet? Yes, after our appt. DS and I went and got a couple outfits and a toy for baby G.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Much better. Everyone was a little sad after my appointment because it wasn't a
girl. My DS was upset, he really wanted a sister and my family just kept saying, we'll you can try again. I felt like no one wanted this baby and I let everyone down. I cried for two days. Now DS has adjusted and family has adjusted and everyone is excited for baby G to arrive. Very thankful for my DH helping me through those couple days.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Next appt. 2/10.

Any PgAL crazy you want to add? Nope, feeling good.

Any baby awesomeness this week? Feeling Gavin move more and more, even with an anterior placenta. DH finally was able to feel him as well. Such a comforting feeling.

QOTW – Where did you meet your significant other? Kohls in 99'. He was the LP Supervisor and doing a training session on how to spot shop lifters to all the new associates. I just got hired on for the children's dept. He was 19, I was 17. Dated exclusively and then married in 03'. This July we are celebrating 11yrs married and just this last Christmas celebrated our 15th Christmas together. He is my rock, my best friend and my lover. I am truly blessed.

Got the courage to buy anything yet? We bought baby girls bedding, the double stroller, our extra camera for our monitor and a co-sleeper. I have a few other little things that I picked up at an awesome baby thrift store we have. I told myself I wouldn't buy anything until Vday but couldn't help myself.
Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Nothing until the beginning of February. My dr bumped me back to 4 week appts. now.
Any PgAL crazy you want to add? Any baby awesomeness this week? We are starting to be able to feel baby girl on the outside here and there. DH felt some kicks last night and he is so in love.

19w3d today, team pink! ~~~~~~~~I've started shopping, we already have our crib and dresser, letters to hang on the wall that spell Out her name, I've gotten a few clothing items, a cute blanket and a toy or two. My DH has forbidden me from any further shopping (ha ha, he thinks that will work) until after my shower, but its so hard when I find a good deal! I've been looking at things to research before we register in March. (My shower isn't til may, do you think march is ok to register?). My cousin also gave us her swing, bassinet, boppy and a couple other little things.~~~~~~~~I've been feeling wonderful, finally feeling like there is something going on in my belly, it's getting hard and I feel those little flutters! DH is starting to seem more attached, rubbing my belly, talking to baby (He calls her Cam) I feel ridiculously happy all the time, like a constantly grinning idiot.

~~~~~~~ Baby awesomeness is hitting all my friends, one of by closest friends had a baby about 2 weeks ago that I met this week, she is so tiny and perfect, I was just in awe of her, I can't imagine how having my own will feel! I also discovered that my BFF is expecting her 3rd child and is about 12 weeks behind me! I'm so excited for her! Nothing makes me happier than the people I love being happy so I'm on cloud nine! ~~~~~~~I met my husband when i was 16, while dating a friend of his ( I know, sounds awful)). The only thing to do in our town was cruise around and now DH had a brand new truck so we all rode with him. Thought he had a cute smile but didnt think much more about him. But then things fizzled with the guy I was dating (as they usually do when they kiss other girls). Ran I to now DH at the annual waterfront festival and we went for a walk, he joking put his arm around me but it just felt right. 2 days later we had our first kiss during the fireworks, 5 years later we got married. And here we are now married 9 1/2 years and having a baby girl! Sometimes I'm amazed how we were just kids who were crazy about each other and now have built this wonderful life together and are becoming our own little family!!!!

Team? Pink! So excited to be having a girl this time!

Got the courage to buy anything yet? We have a lot of gender neutral stuff from DS. But right after the US, we did go pick out a few cute girl outfits (ie. going home clothes)

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Feeling pretty good. Round ligament pain is a b**** but other than that pretty good.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Next appt isn't until second week of feb. I have a repeat US before then, but it's not scheduled yet (waiting for the script in the mail).

Any PgAL crazy you want to add? The baby's stomach was a little large at the anatomy scan. The doctor said that I really shouldn't worry about it it probably means that baby swallowed a big gulp of amniotic fluid, but they are going to recheck it in a few weeks. I'm trying to stay calm, but I've got that nagging feeling that the bottom is going to fall out from under us at this next US.

My Dh and I met at Kohl's too. Although we worked together for five years before I talked to him. I thought he was a creeper. LOL. We went on our first date on 11/29/2003 (which is funny because our second son was born on 11/29/11) and got engaged May 22, 2005 got married December 15, 2005 by a radio station. And our oldest son was due on May 22, 2007. Crazy!

Got the courage to buy anything yet? Yes! Just yesterday actually. We were at the city market in Charleston and found an adorable crocheted puppy dog hat and decided to make it our first purchase for baby.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Still up and down physically...still getting sick on occasion but feel better for the most part. Emotionally im feeling good since I can feel the baby now.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? we had our a/s last Tuesday and everything looked great! I loved seeing the baby move all around in there!

Any PgAL crazy you want to add? Any baby awesomeness this week? I hope everyone has a great week! Baby awesomeness besides our a/s was feeling the baby move for the first time. I had been questioning whether I was feeling movement and then last weekend I was laying in bed and felt the baby flip or roll. It was a crazy sensation and I knew it definitely was the baby at that point!

just found out this past Thursday. Very excited as we have a 4 year old son

How are you feeling physically/emotionally?
Feeling good, been a bit nervous and concerned as they found a small cyst on baby girls umbilical cord but everything else looks great and doc says not to worry so taking her word for it for now. Another u/s Feb 20th. Fingers crossed.

I think I started to feel flutters I know baby is a kicker because I got an awesome ultrasound video of a pretty good kick!

QOTW – Where did you meet your significant other? We met when I was dating his friend at the time. A few months later that relationship ended, but I was still friends with some of his friends. We met again at a bonfire and then started working out together. One day he asked me to the movies, and now here we are 6 years later!
