  I got some owl bedding for my son. It is creme, brown, lime-ish green, burnt orange and a soft blue. I adore it. The owls have a vintage look to them so I totally think owls are fine for boys!

  That's how I felt when I wanted to do monkeys for DS1 nearly 5 years ago. I ended up going to the fabric store and making a lot of think myself and compromised with some jungle themed items.   I love Carousel Designs. They have some of the cutest stuff I've seen! We did DD's bedroom in the pink and taupe damask.

  I've also been hunting for some gender neutral (I pretty much hate pink) owl and deer themed nursery stuff. Etsy definitely has some good stuff and spoonflower has a TONNE of owl designs if you're into getting fabric to do your own thing with... I even noticed they have some 'cheater' quilts with owls available.

  I mean, that's the worst that can happen from using a nursery theme that might have another gender association, right? Except that's actually not at all possible. You can decorate his nursery in whatever you want. There are zero side effects to boys and owls decor.

  I just saw a bunch of owl stuff at BRU -- some of it was more neutral than "boy," but there was plenty with blue trim.

  I love Owl stuff too for my boy. I actually received a beautiful owl gauze baby blanket from an ETSY shop just the other day. The seller is sold out of the owl print now for the blanket, but I'm attaching the link of the print in general.   Thank you everyone! I was just at BRU and was really excited to see more owl stuff for boys. I've also been scouring the internet for things too. My husband doesn't like how obsessed I am about them because he says it's for our son not me.

  Also, regarding what @wtfisup said about gender associations, I'm hoping to decorate my nursery in a moon/star/night sky theme. That means there will be a lot of dark/navy blue going around, something that is typically associated with boys, and yet I'm having a girl. I don't care. I love my theme. I've never thought of owls as being girly. They're an animal. Animals come in both sexes. I mean, technically all owls have cloacae (autocorrect tells me that's the proper plural of cloaca?) but still...
