Not meaning to be a SS, but I'm looking for your favorite baby monitor advice! We are registering today, and I've looked at reviews... But I'm still a bit clueless. What do you already have and love or what will you be registering for?
I think ours is a Summer-something-or-other (so helpful, I know). What I like about it is that it's a video monitor, which is nice. It's hard to balance some places but it works great and the quality of the screen is really good. So in general I would recommend a video monitor if you can swing it because they're awesome.
edit: I have the Summer Infant slim and secure digital handheld color video monitor. That might be the world's longest name.
We just have a cheap hand me down simple monitor. It worked well for us but I think this time I want a video monitor that I will be able to use with 2 cameras. When I transition DS to a toddler bed I think i would like to be able to see him
I have a levana video monitor and low it. It has a two-way interccom , temp gauge, and plays lullaby. If you plan on having more than one child, then look for one you can add cameras too.

I work nights and DH works in Boston three days a week so we wanted something that we can check in on the baby with. We registered for the summer infant wifi one so we can both check in on our phone. I got the rec from a friend.

I too have either the same monitor as this one or one just like it. It is a Levana video monitor with all these purks mentioned above, also has a built in night light and what I like about mine is that it is rechargeable so I don't have to have it plugged in if I need to move it to another room. Example: I would have DS in his swing in my bedroom while I took a shower and I would be able to place the camera in our room without having to plug it in and take the monitor into the bathroom with me so I could hear him if he were to cry.
It works great and I plan to use it for this baby as well.
Re: Monitor help
I'm not new. I just hate The Bump.
