Fert Reort- XP from IFupdate with day 3 report

Ok, I am going to be a total PW and start a new thread.

I got the call from the clinic with our fert report. We had 8 retrieved, 8 mature, and 8 fertilized normally! 100% fert rate! I think I am in shock. This cycle has been such a turn around from our last two. IVF #1 we had 6R/5M/3F and IVF #2 was slightly better 8R/7M/5F. Now the long wait until Our next report on Monday begins.

UPDATE:

Not the perfect day 3 report, but not too terrible either. My clinic grades embryos on a scale of 1-3 (1=no fragmentation, 2=little fragmentation, and 3 =significant fragmentation) and embryos should have 6-10 cells on day 3.

I still have 8 embryos with grading as follows:

3 grade 2- two 7 cell and one 8 cell

5 grade 3- one 4 cell, two 7 cell, and two 8 cell

The good news is I know from experience that embryo grades can improve. Last cycle we only had grade 2 and grade 3 embryos, but ended up with a grade 1 early blast to transfer.

@calindi I did start taking some supplements after our c/p from our October cycle. I have no idea if the supplements helped or if it is just a coincidence that we ended up with a much better fert rate.

The only change in med protocol that I had was an increase in stims, which I wouldn't think would have much effect on egg quality. In fact it didn't really have an impact on the number of eggs, since we retrieved the same number as IVF #2.

The big test will be how our embryos look on our day 3 report on Monday. In our previous cycles our embryos were always slow growers (and in the case of IVF #1 poor quality/highly fragmented).
