Trying to Get Pregnant

Oh Amazon....you & your targeted marketing campaigns

A few weeks ago I ordered Wondfo ovulation and pregnancy test strips from Amazon.  Today I get an email from Amazon that proves their targeted marketing campaigns really do work, but they forgot to factor in my sensitivity.  The subject is "Deals in the Baby Store."  My immediate response to this was fuck you Amazon.

Right now all I can think about is getting pregnant.  Maybe after I get a BFP I'll consider a deal in the baby store, until then leave me the f alone.

  • OMG I am beyond annoyed this week because I keep getting crap in the mail saying "congrats to your family" with pregnant women on it...apparently something I signed up for when I was pregnant notified a million other places and now I keep getting pregnant lady adds. >:P

  • I get the same thing from Target.  Bought ONE baby shower present there and for months after I got coupons in the mail for baby stuff.  Thanksbutnothanks.
This happens to me with Babies R Us. Luckily, we moved into a new house last year and BRU hasn't found me yet.

  • Ugh. I get tons of the baby ads on fb as well. I usually x it out and when they ask why, I usually click "offensive or inappropriate" for fun. Or meet singles.. Hello FB.. I'm married!!

  • I feel like The Bump is the worst offender of this. I just unsubscribed to everything but they were sending me pregnancy/parenting emails constantly.
YES. I keep getting postcards from a chiropractor nearby saying TheBump notified them of something...weird.

  • Unroll.me is awesome @Ally1986, sometimes I do like seeing emails from Amazon though. This is where I'm conflicted. Guess I'll just have to deal with it. I have, however, unsubscribed from TB emails.

In case any of you are interested, have you tried unroll.me?

I was getting nearly a hundred promotional emails a day because I sign up for everything and I've had the same email address since I graduated from high school (and another one I use for professional things). Anyway, it's super easy, unsubscribes you from all of your junk email and/or rolls it up into one email you can read at your leisure, without having to actually click all the emails.

I just did it a few days ago and I love it. Hope that helps with the stupid targeted emails!

ETA: Irony, because I do freelance work in email marketing. Whatever.
Unroll.me has seriously changed my life.
