Sex during pregnancy

in 3rd Trimester
does having sex at any point in time in the third trimester pose any problems for you or the baby? how many of y'all are still having sex during the third trimester?

    I had sex in the third trimester with my first and am now with my second. I especially have alot of sex at the end to help labor along :-)

    Due date is Thursday and still going at it. Dr said it's totally safe. And I think my sex drive had sky rocketed in this trimester then any other

    Wow my husband is soo afraid to do stuff soo it doesnt happen that much.  He is afraid of hurting something.  Soo lets just say it doesnt happen that often : (

    TTC SINCE 7/2010, BFP-10/2010 ended in miscarriage 11/2010 : (.....
    Progesterone level 4/2011= 11.29. SA normal. HSG normal.
    8/11 Clomid 50mg=BFN progesterone level 35,
    10/11 Clomid 50mg =BFN progesterone level 31,
    11/11 Clomid 50mg=BFN progesterone level 12,
    12/11 Clomid 50mg=Progesterone 31
    01/12-Break from meds-BFN
    Feb-cd3 blood work FSH(5), AMH(0.56) 02/12 Break....
    03/01/12-Clomid 50mg with IUI #1=BFN.
    04/01/12-Another round of clomid with IUI#2=BFN.
    5/8/12-Diagnostic Laparoscopy-found minimal endometriosis and small fibriod.
    June and July-much needed break
    August-Bravelle 75 with IUI#3- BFN
    September-Bravelle injects with IUI #4-BFP!! MC 10/7/12 : ( Sonohysterogram-Normal
    December- Bravelle(3 good follicles & E2 1252) with IUI#5 BFFN :*(
    July IVF #1- BFP! : )  Beta #1-245, #2- 703, #3- 1655, #4- 3553 YAY!  Praying and Praying this one sticks around!
                      1st U/S scheduled for Aug 23rd!

    I really wish I had a ton of sex in third tri. I miss it now.

    It's perfectly safe unless your doctor tells you not to.

    For us, it's not particularly comfortable right now, and it's hard to find a good position.

    My Dr. advised that sex was perfectly safe with the last pregnancy and with this one. DH and I did it up until the night I went into labor with LO. With this one I've been sick my entire pregnancy but we have had sex on the days I feel well. My opinion is if there's no medical reason not to you should be keeping up with that part of your marriage because it maintains that bond with DH.

    I will "keep up with that part of the marriage" when I don't pee when I blink too hard. I think it's awesome that some ladies have the drive. I don't think there's anything wrong with ladies who don't.

    I regain my sex drive in the 3rd Tri it seems. I didn't really want it at all in 1st and 2nd and now I can't seem to get enough. It does give me contractions sometimes but it is worth it :)

    I'm due in 4 days, and we still have sex... when I can actually maneuver myself into a position that makes it comfortable :D lol

    So yes, do it as much as you can until that baby comes if you're up to it, because then you will be sex-less for 6 weeks :(

    If you want it and you're able to, go for it!  Lots of people will tell you that sex and orgasm (yours and his) can help jumpstart natural labor the last week or so.  I couldn't test this theory last time around as we had 5 family members staying in our home but we will be trying it out this time. =D>

    Unless your doctor says no, why wouldn't you?  After the birth there might be some time before you have sex again.  You'll need to wait for a few weeks so that you don't hurt yourself, plus you'll probably be tired.

    I still enjoy sex with my H during pregnancy. We pretty much use just one position right now, but we still enjoy it. My Os during second and third trimester are ahhhh-mazing!

    It's safe up until the day you go into labor, unless your doctor expressly told you not to do it. Finding a comfortable position, on the other hand, is a completely different story. It seems that no matter how we try it at this point, either I end up getting insane leg cramps or I feel like I'm repeatedly getting punched in the stomach. It's not exactly a turn-on for either of us when "Oooh baby" turns into "Owww, my hip!' :-P
