Convertible Car Seats

Hi,
Our son is almost 5 months old and 27 inches tall. His infant car seat is only good until 30 inches so my husband and I are looking into Convertible Car Seats. We are looking for ones that aren't very wide, but that are comfortable for the LO's they carry. We are looking for one that won't break the bank...since we will probably be buying one for each of our cars. Any seats you all recommend? And why do you recommend them?

I found the Facebook group "Car Seats for the Littles" extremely helpful in making my car seat decision, you should check it out.
