The spicegirls? Backstreet boys? N'sync? How about Ace of Base? I loved Ace of Base, I was singing one of their songs and this girl had no idea who they were. Made me feel old and I'm only 25 lol
Yep, I remember singing spicegirls "if you wanna be my lover" song and my sister yelled at me and said " that means a guy has to have sex with all your friends too" haha I remember feeling horrified!
August '15 January Siggy Challenge "Favorite Mean Girl"
I still have both of my Spice Girls CDs. I wasn't really into the boy bands although I did like Hanson. I'm a lot older than 25 so I must be really old ; )
My neighbors and I use to play/pretend to be the spicegirls and I always wanted to be sporty spice and would get mad when I was assigned another spice lol. Good times!
Maybe this should go on my FFFC but i may or may not have gone to a Backstreet Boys/NKOTB concert a few months ago...
Jealous. My friend went to a BSB concern way back when we were in middle school and called me on her dad's cell phone so I could hear them sing. I almost died. It was awesome.
Ok more confessions: when I was in college in Nottingham (UK) O'Town came in town. And since i grew up feeling deprived of boy-band concert love (not many bands made it to Cyprus), i was one of the first ones to get tickets and made all my friends go. My friends hated me. I loved it.
Anyone know/remember Take That? That was my true teen year obsession. I sent letters and i was part of a fan club and declared my everlasting love to Mark Owen through a (badly written) poem. Oh and I starved myself trying to convince my dad to take me to London to see them in concert. It didn't work: my dad didn't buy it, and my mom's food was just too good.
I wore giant platform sneakers to my High School Prom, as did almost every girl there. It was the late 90's and the Spice Girls were super popular at the time. The pictures are epic.
I was a spice girl fan and I loved baby spice but always "played" Ginger. DH and I we hanging out back at our tiki bar playing 90's pop on Pandora (my top playlist only to be beat by mozart lullabies) and DH knew every. single. word. to Wanna Be. Sang the whole thing and ended with a "girl power" peace sign. I fell in love all over again.
Who the hell doesn't know who those bands are? Was she seven years old or something?
Ps, I totally still own the movie Spice World.
We own it too and it's because dh had it when we got married! One day like 2 years a go when I was waiting for him to get home from work I watched it!!
Invisible Man - 98 degrees. Used to play it on repeat so much!
And I still have that aqua CD in my car. It's great for when I need something to sing along to on a long drive. ETA: and now I have Dr. Jones in my head.
I met o-town in Mexico while they were filming for their show! I was an NSync girl (I always played JC) but had room in my heart for Otown. They were really nice and played with some puppies with me and some girlfriends. Pretty tame meeting considering it was Spring Break. Ayay! Creed is barfy for me but I shouldn't judge- I am a Bright Eyes and Dashboard Confessional loving lady and there's some shame to be had there
Nsync waa my first concert. I still have the spice girls video game for playstation..anyone else remember that?
Yup! Me and my friend would play that or spyro when I stayed the night. When we weren't playing PlayStation, we were trying to great choreography to backstreet boys, Nsync, spice girls, or aqua lol
I was in college for most of those bands. I am not embarrassed to admit I love NSYNC. My love for JC. went back to the MMC days. I was the nerd with the MMC poster in my he locker. My love of boy bands all started with NKOTB. Donnie and Joey Joe!!!!!!

Your title has me singing Michael Jackson....

LO then (2 days) and now (1 year)
I will have to go dig some up to show you all!
Then I got really into Creed.
We're forgetting 98 Degrees!! Nick Lachey :x
