What sports or actvities are you looking forward to introducing your LO's too? Are there any sports or actvities you will try to steer them away from (for example you don't really want your son doing ballet or your LO getting into more "dangerous" physical sports like rugby or football)? I know they will all eventually have their own interests but what are you hoping they'll pick up and get into?
Re: Sports and Activities
There's nothing that I can think of that I'd prefer they stay away from!
I would love if my DD got into singing or playing an instrument. I always wish I would've learned to do something musically.
I know my DH hopes at least one of our kids shares his love of cooking and movies.
And while I wouldn't say no if they wanted to play, I probably won't be gung ho for introducing hockey, rugby or football to either of my kids...
Whatever she decides to do, we'll support her!

I have my fingers crossed that she wants to ride horses. I grew up riding and have done it professionally so I would love to be able to have that common passion with Emma. She loves going to the barn and petting the horses and I had her sit in front of me on one of the super quiet horses I ride and we went for a walk and she squealed and was so excited. Fingers crossed!
DH wants her to ride dirt bikes, which I also grew up doing and actually got him into. I wouldn't mind if she was into that as well so we could have our family hobby. (DH likes animals and enjoys horses but I think we're a long ways away from having him want to do more than pet them.)
I wouldn't steer her away from any hobbies or interests.
DD1 just turned two and starts dance class on Monday and I'm probably WAY More excited about it than I should be. She took swim lessons over the summer so she'll continue those and we'll enroll DD2 as well. She's also starting skating next month. I imagine DD2 will start with those things just like big sister.
I don't think there's any activities we would specifically discourage for our kids. DH is a football coach so we're definitely not in the 'no football' camp.
No football or wrestling here for us, for the reasons folks mentioned above. I'd love for him to get involved in sports, but my DH and I are not very athletic, so those genes will have to come from elsewhere.
I'm a theatre teacher, so of course I'd love if he got into that, but I don't want to push it on him. I am pretty musical, and I've already tried to make a habit of letting him play on our piano once a week or so, because we are both hoping that he'll get into playing piano when he's a bit older.
The only sport I'd discourage is football. DH is a huge football fan but does not want LO to play because my H got a concussion as a kid from playing football.
