How quickly did your body bounce back post loss?

I've still been temping but forgot to this morning. My D&C was a little over a week ago.

So I started having pain on my right side and at first thought it was residual from surgery and then I was like holy crap I think I'm ovulating!!

I took a digi OPK and boom positive. But could this be residual from HCG? Doesn't pregnancy hormones make those things positive? Or is that Internet hearsay?!

My doc is not tracking betas (I assume because he removed everything and scraped me clean for good
measure)...

I know I can't handle seeing a HPT right now so I don't wanna check myself...

What do you ladies think??

    Please know we are still avoiding and following the doctor's orders. I still track this crap out of habit, curiousity, and to pacify my type- a personality ;)

    I was a glutton for punishment and took an HPT a week after my D&C, still positive. I didn't track temps or anything so I'm not much help there as far as if I ovulated that cycle. I do think OPKs can be positive from HCG. My doc tracked my betas down so I knew when I was no longer producing HCG. It was such a slap in the face to know on paper, I still was pregnant. I got my first post D&C AF 43 days after the surgery. Which was about 4 weeks to the day I stopped spotting. HTH :)

    Thanks for weighing in. I really am curious. I have no idea what to expect.

    I tracked with HPTs after my D&C and it took a full 3 weeks for a negative (I was 10 to 11 weeks when i had the D&C) and I ovulated 3 days after the "failed" test.
    November 2010 - 10.5 week loss  o:) 
    October 2011 - DS (7)  <3 
    July 2014 - Stillborn DD (24 weeks)  o:) 
    August 2015 - DD (3)  <3 
    April 2018 - 5 week loss o:)

    Not sure how helpful this is, but I started my period yesterday, exactly when my normal cycle length would have been from the day my miscarriage started, but mine was natural so might be different.  My RE did track my betas down to zero as I was passing the tissue naturally.  I didnt get a negative on the betas until 1/10.  SO I guess that works out to 12/24 start of miscarriage, 1/10 negative HCG and then 1/23 period.  Didnt track the O, just didnt feel like it, but it had to be pretty close to right after when the HCG levels went to zero. 

    TTC#1 May 2009- July 2010 on our own with no luck

    Started with RE in August 2010, dx with unexplained IF and then finally our 3rd IUI cycle using Follistim and Trigger resulted in our wonderful little man.  Born 12/2/11

    TTC#2 Never really prevented, but were careful early on as Dr. reccomended

    Surprise BFP 12/16/13, started progesterone immediately as first numbers came back low, but betas were good.  Progesterone wasnt enough. Natural MC 12/24/13.

    Back with RE as of January 2014...

    5/27/14- Chemical Pregnancy :(

    April 2015 IVF#1

    5/13/15- BFP, please stick LO!

    Oh and I'm a major Harry Potter Nerd :)

    Aw @KC1212 I'm still so sad and angry for your whole situation. What were your levels at prior to the surgery? Mine were at 111,000 and took 39 days before I got my first post d&c period. And I believe you are right, leftover hcg will turn your opk positive. Huge ((hugs)) girl.

    Two DDs 10/08 and 08/10, no primary IF
    TTC #3 since 10/2011 - dx unexplained/weak ovulation
     3 BFN clomid + TI cycles, 5 BFN clomid/gonal f IUIs, 1 mmc IUI
    2/19/2014 IVF #1 Unexpected low E2 (oversuppressed) -> increased to max doses = 3 or 4 follicles, converting to IUI
    BFFP Saw 1 beautiful heartbeat at 6w6d, follow up u/s at 9w showed mmc. Eff this.
    NTNP 5/2014-9/2014, OPKs and TI 10/2014 - 1/2015. 
    RPL testing all normal, AFC, AMH, and FSH all normal. 
    IVF 1.2 1/22/2014 natural cycle start, AFC 28, 300 gonal f/150menopur. 
    ER 2/3/15 14R 8M 3F w/ICSI Day 5 transfer on 2/8/15 of one "Grade A+" blast and have TWO frosties!

    Ok, hopefully your first post AF won't take forever then! If you really think seeing a bfp will just cause you pain I'd wait it out a bit. I avoided them like the plague, and we all know you and I are huge poas addicts.

    @jen071407 yeah! LOL!! My EH will kill me if I took one just to track my levels. He does not understand the pee stick addiction at all and sometimes cuts me off X(

    Just chiming in again, I agree with Jen the HPT would have almost killed me, I saw the old one in the trash when we were empyting the can and that just about did it, so if you can just keep waiting and just wanted to say again, I'm so sorry you are going through all this.  ((hugs))

    With my BFP in October, I had DH hide mine from me. He let me take one every few days or so, you know so I could psycho compare to make sure the line was getting darker. It's such an obsession. It boggles my mind when I talk to my aunts and grandma and they say how they never really knew they were pregnant until they started showing after missing some periods. How did they survive without POAS multiple times???

    I'm just lurking but my Dr has never tracked my Betas after any of my Mc's. I had two D&C's but my body did go back to normal but I ovulated about 1 week later than my normal. My last MC I did like you peed on an OPK and it was positive and I was confused so I did an HPT and it was positive too. I quit using OPK's and just used my BBT to temp so I would know when I ovulated.
