2nd night home from the hospital. My daughter kicked her feet so much that I couldn't keep the blanket on. I went to a sleep sack which worked okay but didn't seem to keep her feet warm. She kicked off her socks in. The best thing for us was a long sleeve onesie with feet.
Our ped recommended as soon as lo was rolling over. We stopped around the 3 month mark because of the rolling and switched to a sleep sack. The first night he spend the first few hours rolling all around the pnp but after that he was fine.
3 weeks. She never liked her arms being swaddled. Seriously, she came out of the womb hating her arms swaddled. So that was just a hop-skip-and a jump from nixing it all together.
We haven't stopped yet. She sleeps so much better when she is swaddled. She's starting to roll from her back to her side, so once we transition her from her swing to a crib we might stop. But for right now, there's nowhere for her to roll and she sleeps well with it. She fights it sometimes, but always eventually calms down. She knows now that swaddle = calm down and sleep I swaddled her after her shots the other day and it worked! She calmed down and took her bottle. I'll be really sad when we can't swaddle her anymore.

We never swaddled the arms, but I still wrap LO in a blanket because he sleeps better. We're about to transition from the rock n play to the crib and once that transition is complete we'll stop swaddling too. LO is 3 months.
We stopped swaddling naps at 3 months to start the weaning process. And then completely stopped with nighttime swaddling at 5 months. She naps with just footed PJ's. At night, she's in footed PJ's and a sleep sack.
1 day old - he HATES being swaddled. My son is seriously in love with his arms and hands. We do use a halo fleece sleep sack over cotton footed PJ's at night. He sleeps like a rock when he's actually asleep. During the day he just passes out in whatever clothes he's wearing.
My son is not quite 3 months yet and we have already ditched the swaddlers. From about 1 or 2 weeks, he would not tolerate having his arms tucked in. For a while we just dressed him in something warm and wrapped his lower half. He started kicking himself out of that pretty quickly as well. I guess he is a strange baby. He's always seemed quite uncomfortable when swaddled.
Between 2-5 months. With both DS we switched to the Magic Sleep Suit once swaddling became too difficult. With DD swaddling was never hard. My first boy was out of the sleep suit by 6 months. Our 2nd DS was out of it by 4 months (he was into it at 3 weeks!)
We also switched to the magic sleep suit a couple weeks ago. It's been going great. He's nice and cozy, but not too hot. I put him in it for naps too and he sleeps really well in his crib during the day and at night.
Re: When did you stop swaddling?
We went to the magic sleep suit.
Once DS started rolling he sleeps just in a fleece footsie PJ.
