Hcg levels not doubling

My hcg levels aren't doubling but are rising this happen to any one else?

Re: Hcg levels not doubling

  • they can take anywhere from 31hours to 72 hours to double in early pregnancy, so it doesn't have to have a perfect 48 hr doubling time.

  • You didn't give us a lot of information. But not doubling do you mean not double in 24, 48, etc hours? How far along are you?  There is a point where your hcg numbers really mean nothing.

We pretty much need more information but you'll get any helpful answers with good information.

  • Sorry should have give me info

Went for sonagram on Monday thinking I was over 7 weeks. But all the doctor could see was sac and yolk. Doctor thinks Iat have ovulated late as I have irregular periods. Went for bloods on Monday at 2.15 and again on Wednesday at 10 am. Doctor said they didn't double but when I asked did they go up at all he said yes the rose and we have to wait till next week for sonogram to get more details on what's going on

You can call & ask for the numbers from both draws. They should give you that information. I use this calculator to get my doubling times. It has a chart of normal doubling times so that you can reference that. Your double doesn't need to be a perfect 48 hours, it just needs to be in the normal range for your current level.
