Movie Fans - "Date night"

So... we've been watching "in theater" movies from our laptop and streaming to the TV. Just thought I'd share the website with all of you. It's www.fmovief.net (Free Movie Fans). Wolf of Wall Street in our living room instead of hiring a babysitter to go to the theater? Yes, please!

    This site is basically a search engine to find other sites that offer free movies. I don't want to be a Debbie Downer but websites like that are using illegal bootleg copies so those sites get shut down a lot and aren't usually valid websites for very long. And never download anything from those sites because, again, it's illegal and also they are sometimes riddled with viruses.

    Fmovief is actually pretty clever because since they are just a search engine and not directly offering the bootleg movies, they are skirting any legal issues involved with it. Pretty scammy!

    Definitely scammy - but it's all just buffering and no actual download. It probably won't last long, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't going to watch a few free movies until it's shut down. :)

    Yeah I had a similar site used a while back and they got shut down and people were arrested. It was ok while it lasted.

    I stream everything online. I don't have cable so I do tv shows online too. I never download because it's too much work. lol. Even trying to find links for new movies has gotten annoying. We now only do it if it's a movie we really really want to see.

    I found netflix to be a good compromise. At $8/month it's not too expensive and they have most of what I want to watch without being illegal.

    Me too, love that movie. My fiance even likes it, he came in halfway through and got up to leave. I thought he just didn't like it but he was actually going to record it so he could see it from beginning to end, lol.
