I need advice on which swing to get. I loved the snuggle bunny but its too big and we have very limited space. I liked the graco petite glider but have heard terrible reviews. Help this FTM out!!!!
I haven't shopped for swings in 4 years so I can't really comment on what's current, but I will say this: buy a swing that can run via batteries OR a wall plug. Don't get a battery-only model. Also, it's nice to have a swing that can rock side to side or front and back. Some babies prefer one motion over the other.

^^^exactly what MF said.
We have the Snugabunny and love it, but you're right...it takes up a bunch of space. Maybe check out travel swings? Sorry I can't be of more help on a specific model.
Check out the fisher price zen collection swing. It's big, but the seat detaches to become a stationary device, which makes it more streamlined from a baby clutter perspective, and more economical because it's two products in one. It's also REALLY nice to be able to do uninterrupted floor-to-swing (or vice versa) shifts when you need to move baby from room to room. This is the swing we own.
I had a travel swing for my first and the motor burnt out by time she was done with it (she didn't even use it that much) and it ran through batteries like crazy, especially as she got heavier. This time we went with a full size swing, the snugga monkey one.

We are splurging on the mamaroo. If we had the space, I would definitely go with the fisher price my little lamb swing. I am justifying the mamaroo by not getting another swing or bouncer. I hope it makes this LO happy!
Just put together the Graco model that goes from swing to bouncer; however I think we may return it because I didn't realize it only swings side to side and runs on batteries only. I think we may exchange it for the Fisher Price one some of the previous posters have mentioned.
I don't have much advice on models, but I will tell you that last time we spent over $200 on a swing. We also picked up a used vibrating chair for $10. Take a wild guess which one baby preferred!!
We never had a swing- never needed one. Our dd just loved the vibrating bouncer chair thingy, so we never had to explore the swings. If you're tight on space, you could always hold off and see if you can get by without one.

We had two swings for DD and I agree that some take up a lot more space than the others. Definitely get one that plugs in to the wall. As some of the others have mentioned, the Mamaroo is definitely a space saver. They also just came out with the Rockaroo (I think that's the name) that is also a space saver, it just moves differently.
One that goes side to side as well as front to back for sure. I have no space, and I am getting one again. I do not care if it takes up 1/4 of my bedroom, that thing saved my life with my first two kids. Fisher price papasan cradle swings, tons of different colors and themes available. They now make one on BRU or amazon that is $119 or so and "compact" size. I will be using SIL's this time until the motor dies, but if buying new, I'd go with one I could use batteries or a wall plug as well. Middle of the night (if you let them sleep there which I did) dying batteries suck!
