Only prob is, MIL is hosting. I asked her NOT to fry everything, so we'll see. I think I am allowed to make reuests since I am not permitted to bring anything.
Well, if E is still sick, we might not be going anyway.
MIL does and I hate it Sorry! She usually makes me gnocchi's or something else. I hate that we STINK when we leave there. I'm already trying to plan what the girls will wear that I can take off and put straight in the laundry room when we get home.
never heard of it. It sounds like something I'd be bummed about though if I walked in and that's what was being served. I'm not a fan of fish/seafood (other than hibatchi (sp?) shrimp.
Yep. We do it every year and it is usually my absolutely fave. We usually do fry just about everything but my parents are very good about not stinking up the house- they have a turkey fryer and do it all outside. This year we are not doing any frying and I have to admit I am even more psyched about it. Probably having more than 7 fishes too.
My neighbors do a pseudo ?version. They don't have all 7 fish, but do have 3 or 4. The meal is awesome and we love going over to their house every Christmas eve. I think they have about 30 people each year for dinner.?
My ILs do a version of this. Honestly the only good thing they do is mussels in white wine and shrimp fra diavlo. Other than that, SMIL sucks as a cook. We usually end up going over there and DH and I cook. But we're doing xmas day at their house, so probably not doing the fish this year.
My babies!!

But, have fun!
I have never even heard of this! We do tamales and queso. SO yummy!
It is so interesting to me to see how different the traditions are in diff parts of this country.
Sounds good though! Have so much fun eating your 7 fishes!
