Pack n play or bassinet

Or both? What have you used with your newborns? I have both but Im thinking I dont need the bassinet this time. Any other options? Baby will be in our room for the first 3-6 months at least.

We had E in the PNP in our room for 6 months. We will probably do the same with deuce. Except mh seems to think she will go to her room sooner. We shall see.

We used the Rock n play for 5 months by out bed. LO did not like the bassinet because he laid flat.

We have a PnP that comes with a newborn napper. I used that for the first 3 months and I can't imagine not having it. We have 3 floors in our condo, so for the first 3 months, M napped in the newborn napper of the PnP in the living room. I was so sad when he outgrew it, as he napped so well in it!

We had a RnP plus his crib in our bedroom from the get go. M slept on and off in the RnP for the first month, but we weaned him off it and he slept in his crib since. We moved him and his crib to his room around 4.5 months.

We used a pack n play it has a changing section so worked really well. We bought a real pnp mattress for it. LO now sleeps in that at my parents.

I have pnp, and cradle. I like the pnp, the one we have has changing table, a sleeper and akso changes into a bassinet.

We used a PNP until he was about 6 mo or so I would say, I plan on that with # 2 as well.

PnPs take up more room than I would have thought. We have a rather large bedroom, but it still took up too much space. We wanted LO right at the bedside, so the bassinet worked better for us.

PNP - the newborn napper was fantastic for our colicky reflux baby and the changing table part was helpful early on. Noes she's sleeping in the bassinet of the pnp. Our girls will have to share a room, so baby's in our room until she sleeps well enough not to bother our toddler.

We have a cradle/bassinet in our room that G slept in for first 3 months. We did keep the PnP downstairs. She napped in it for the first month or two. I loved our cradle and can't wait to pull it out again for future babes!

We had the PNP with the bassinet attachment for nighttime and the RNP for naps (and fussy nights). I think DS would have outgrown a separate bassinet way too fast and it wouldn't have been worth it. He was in our room in the PNP for about 3 months.

RnP was awesome and L was in it until 7ish months. We don't have a PnP. Our house is one level so we change L in his room and I wanted a bigger playpen for when he was older so we have the Joovy Room squared (which I love btw).

We plan on using our graco PNP. We did it last time and will this time. Used the little basinet contraption the first month then had him in the top part for another few months. One less thing to buy!

I had the same contraption as @forevaarose. My guy was only in it until we sleep trained at 4m. I would do the same set up again although it does take up space.

With out last two we used the Rock 'n play next to our bed and LOVED it because it's so portable and small. With our first two we used the Arm's Reach mini-cosleeper which I also really liked but it's bigger and harder to move from side to side compared to the RNP (there was no RNP when I had my first two.)

At about 3-4 months we moved them into their own room and crib except for Maren who we moved into a pack 'n play in our room for another month or two and eventually moved the pnp into Sully's room where they both still are.

We used the RnP for the first couple of months and in the ranch it was great! After we transition him to the PnP but he was to noisy and we were so he slept in his crib and we all got a good night's sleep
