Hemorrhoids (tmi)

Has anyone else had this problem? I got one yesterday, first time in my life and it hurt soooooo bad. It kept me awake last night. I talked to a doctor at work today and she said from what it sounds like, it's thrombosed, so then she wanted to see it. She looked at it and then sent me to a surgeon to have it cut open. Fml seriously! If I have this at 18 weeks, I can just imagine how delivery is gonna be!

Re: Hemorrhoids (tmi)

  • Oh I'm so sorry! I had two with my first and one never really went away. They are both coming back now in full glory at 18wks. Try to stay off your feet as much as possible and lay on your left side. Good luck girl.

  • That sucks! I'm sorry.
  • That is THE worst! Glad you had it checled ASAP. I didn't and it turned out belt to be a hemorrhoid but something much worse. :'(

  • I didn't have a single hemorrhoid until I got PG with DS.  They got really bad after delivery and mostly died down until recently.  Now that baby's getting bigger and pushing on my perineum more, they seem to be getting worse again.  My advice:  Metamucil, Metamucil, Metamucil!  Works way better than stool softeners at getting rid of those buggers.  Also, if you're in a lot of pain, ask your doctor if there's anything they can give you.  Postpartum with DS nothing helped until they gave me a prescription-strength suppository.  Not sure if it would be safe during PG, but it's worth asking if the pain gets bad.

  • I thought I was gonna get another one today when I went to the bathroom lol. I haven't dared to go in a couple days (well I haven't had to til yesterday) and omg. Again, more tmi lol. Sorry!
  • My BIL is prone to these. His dr had him get a small step stool and put his feet up on it when he's going. It has something to do with relieving the pressure. BIL has said it's helped a bit
