Trying to Get Pregnant

Intro and More Temping/Charting Questions

Hi All,

I have been lurking for several months and have read the newbie blog.  I went off BC in late November.  I just started charting about 10 days ago when I hit cycle day 51 with no AF in sight.  I have attached my chart for you to look at.  On CD 55 I had a big spike in temp which gave me the O crosshairs.  However, the night before we had been out socializing and had a few drinks.

From lurking I know if you go 60 days without a period to contact my doctor.  Would you call now or wait two more weeks to see if FF was accurate?  Any thoughts on the O crosshairs given the limited info provided by my short time temping?

Thanks!

  • I agree.  Wait it out.  If you don't get your period after 2 weeks or so then call your doctor.

  • I'm not sure what is causing the open circles.  All FF says is that there is something that makes it question the data.  I read some other posts and someone commented that they they don't temp at the same time each morning so they change the time in order to avoid open circles.  The only thing I can thinks is that since my temp time varies by up to an hour it is causing open circles, but any thoughts on this would be much appreciated.

    Hi, welcome!

I also get open circles on my chart if I enter a temp that strays more than like 30minutes from the majority of temps.

  • It's def your time if you're temping by up to an hour difference.

If you go to enter data and click the link that says "set default" next to the time, you can set a default time so that temp time doesn't matter unless you change it.

This. I had a problem with my charts having open circles until these lovely ladies helped me figure out that I could manipulate the time to stay constant regardless of when I temp, due to insomnia and disruptive sleep patterns...good luck to you!
