anyone with shipping experience? (Etsy)

I want to make an Etsy shop with the inventory I have remaining from the crochet hats I make. I usually just did local and craft fairs but would like to try and get rid of the stock that I have but I have no idea how to ship for cheap? Any advice?

  • I second USPS flat rate. I've sold stuff on eBay before and USPS worked out best for me.

  • Flat rate can be cheaper, especially if the hats will fit in the envelope or the **smallest** box.  I think it's 5 something?

Priority mail is nice and the boxes are free as well, but may not be as cheap as the SMALL flat rate box.  If for some reason the envelope or small flat rate box doesn't work, I'd get some of the priority boxes or envelopes and try that.

    Good  luck!

  • USPS flat rate shipping all the way.
Ditto. And if you make an account on the USPS website, you can make your own shipping labels for the boxes and it's ~ 10% less than going to the post office. You can also leave a note for your letter carrier to pick the boxes up for you. Easy peasy!
  • Let us know your site when you get it up. If there are any baby sizes I'd love to get one!
