What can I do about the sun being in DS's eyes when we go for a walk in the stroller? He barely likes wearing a hat so I can't imagine him tolerating sunglasses. Wearing him isn't an option.
For things like this, you just have to find what YOUR child will tolerate. Whatever you would try for yourself, try on your kid. If he won't wear anything, then the sun will just be in his eyes. Not a big deal.
Yes it IS a big deal that's why I'm asking. Would YOU like to have the sun in your eyes??? You don't have to answer my posts if you have nothing to contribute.

You don't need to get all butt hurt! It won't hurt him, he either learns to tolerate hats or sunglasses or deals with the sun.

She responds with negativity to all my posts - I'm not "butthurt". Perhaps I should exercise the block button.
Not a whole lot of way to answer this...the first response wasn't what you wanted so I'll try a few other ideas.
Only walk towards the sun so baby is always facing away...unless in a forward facing stroller than only walk away from the sun...prearrange for someone to pick you up and drive you the return trip to avoid the sun.
Carry a really big umbrella so baby is well protected.
Sleep during the day and go out at night, after sunset.
Any of these ideas what you were looking for?
For me, my baby wears the sun hat I make her wear...when she manages to get it off she is stuck with the sun, she learned quick to close eyes and turn her head. After the sun is bothering her a bit the hat goes back on and she naturally connects that hey this random thing mom keeps insisting I wear actually does something useful.
I only mentioned the hat thing to make the point that he doesn't like things on his head. Do I still make him wear it if it's cold? Yes, but it doesn't keep the sun out at all as it's more of a touque.
Nicb13 posts good things most of the time but recently she's been posting rude replies to me which is probably why I read her response differently that most of you. I'm not here to engage in online drama so I'm bowing out of this now.

Maybe you should OP. You know, for someone who posts a new question every 10 minutes, on multiple boards, about the most basic things, you sure do get butt hurt a lot. Perhaps you can't handle a simple answer to something you should have used common sense on. You seem to need a lot of hand holding every day and I'm sorry I don't blow sunshine up your rear.
I'm sorry OP but I have to agree with this. I have also noticed that you post a lot about basic stuff but if you don't like the advice you're getting you get pretty defensive about it. Or if you're getting good advice (for example on your sleeping or transitioning from the sleep suit posts plenty of people tried to help you) you would totally ignore everyone's advice and stick with what is not working for you. I, myself, spent a good half an hour to try to help you with your baby's sleep issues in the past. Your attitude after so many people had tried to give you sleep related advice was "I don't believe in sleep training, babies learn to crawl so they'll learn to sleep on their own" or your one liner response to everyone else's sleep related thread "this is a phase and shall pass" then 3 days later there is another sleep post almost identical to the previous posts of yours.. Maybe you're not looking for advice and just like someone to commiserate with which is fine and that's what this community is about (heck I have done venting and looking for commissary myself), just don't ask questions and get offended at the responses you don't like.
Parenting is just going to get more complicated as our babies grow and learn to walk and talk. You just have to use good judgement to make your own decisions and not rely on the internet to tell you what decisions to make on a daily basis and/or how to defend your parenting decisions to others. Even the most perfect parent will make mistakes at times, we all will, you just have to have the confidence to make some of these decisions on your own, make mistakes, learn and move on. If something is not working you have to make a change. Change is not easy, but you are the parent and have to have some confidence in yourself. You can do this.
