My latest one was this morning. We had to take frankie to the ER around 3 am for high fever and cough, turns out it was pneumonia. So I call my boss at 6 when they open to let her know that I wasn't coming in today, the dr's were still waiting on labs to see if he was going to have to be admitted. She tells me "well call me at 8 and let me know if you can come in by 1:30". What the fuck? No bitch did you just not hear me im NOT coming in today. I said that in my mind, but what my mouth said..."sure ok i'll call you back".
So turns out he didn't have to be admitted but they wanted to keep a eye on him for a few hours, which by this time it's like 9am. So I call her back and tell her no wont be coming in because they want to observe him, etc. I tell her that I will be there tomorrow, MY LAST DAY and asked did she need me to come early, stay late..blah blah blah. She says no regular time is fine, but can you come in Monday, Tuesday for like half a day because we haven't found your replacement yet!? Um, lemme think.....thinking....thinking...pretending to think...hell no! Again I said that in my mind. What I really said was "let me get back to you on that tomorrow". She then tells me yeah you know because I have two people off and you know we thought we had that extra week with you so we thought we had time to find someone, but then your last day is tomorrow. So for two weeks now she knew she needed to hire a replacement and she's magically going to do it in that third week? Not my problem.
Either way I gave them two weeks notice, I bumped off the third week because our move date is literally around the corner and I have a ton of shit to do, ya know like pack a 4 bedroom house. So yeah that was my wtf moment for today. Yesterday she had me take my 2 hour lunch break at 10 am, when I get to work at 8 am. So yeah the chances of me working a half day for two days after i've already said I was leaving is pretty much nil at this point.
What's your latest wtf moment?
Re: WTF moments
Hope Frankie is feeling better. You are polite - I would just tell her "hell no!" right there and then...
I had a few WTF moments today. In the morning I see $40 dollars missing from my wallet. WTF? My DH is still there, so is my 7 years old. I am, like - who stolen all my money from my wallet? DH - "not me", my 7 years old - "not me". Hmm that leaves Peter, (18) years old, Veronica and Chloe (the dog). So my DH and DS totally blamed it on Peter. I am getting furious at my son and texted him later that it is so not cool to take the money from my wallet without asking. He responds - "not me". Then I suspect 7 years old taking the money and lying. My blood pressure rises. I prepare the whole preach about not steeling money and not lying - both are the sins, you are so much in trouble, blah blah. Then later my DH calls and tells me that actually he has $40 dollars in his wallet. He took it yesterday night and "totally forgot". WTF, DH???! Sorry it got so long...
I hope little F bounces back quickly!!
LOL! I bet it's her first baby
Mama got back annnnnd she's showing it to everyone. Wtf indeed.
