I'm sick with a chest cold, & these damn cedar allergies. Add to this that DD has the same & DS is a baby that's going to baby. The IL are coming this weekend to "help" us move & then H goes out of state on business for 10 days.

Not enough coffee or booze!

I'm going on day 14 of head cold/sinus issues. My tooth is still bothering me, I'm going back to the specialist this afternoon. DS needs more milk, I can't keep up because I'm sick. And tired, so tired because I'm losing sleep from feeling bad and terrible tooth pain on top of the normal MOTN duties. So all of this is stressing me out.

I hope you feel better soon and you can survive your IL's visit!

Non-sick related but venting: I just had to spend $200 on a bridesmaid dress for my brother's wedding, which I don't mind spending that much at all, but his fiance picked out the dress with the comment that I shouldn't wear the same one as the THIN bridesmaids. YAY!!!!!!!!

It's only 15 minutes away, but the school district is a ton better. The house is bigger (for when we have #3) & the area is a little but less sketch.

For reasons unknown to me my present area has become more & more crime ridden. Hearing gun shots a couple blocks away has become a regular thing & being out at night (even to just run to the corner store) has become a little bit risky.

Add to this that I went to watchdog.org . I live in an area full of sex offenders, you guys. I didn't care before I had kids but I am skeeved out.

So this new area isn't far, but it has less of the uncomfortableness than my current location.

Thanks. It's going to be okay. I think he'll come around eventually. He's just stressing me out right now.

We have our ups and downs and we've been through some serious shit together, but things always work out. Owen's counselor today was actually remarking that we seem like we have a pretty healthy relationship.

hahahaha! Thanks girls! I was so upset, my sister surprised me with a gym membership for me and her and I to go together (she was also lumped into the not thin category - and shes small!). So maybe her comment will take a positive turn and make me feel better about myself (not for her, for me!)

This thrush

( It hurts so badly to pump or let LO nurse from my left side which is usually my big producer. My nips feel like there are 100 needles in them. I can tell that LO is uncomfortable as well. I hate thrush!!!

Trying to stay upbeat as I am going to see LO in a few short hours when I'm home from work. Sighhh

@dliz87 : I'm so sorry. I live in fear of thrush.

I swab LO's mouth with gripe water & rub his gums with the baby toothpaste. Also, I use dial gold bar on my boobs (& the rest of me). I've heard white vinegar works as a prevention method too. I hope your meds work soon. Can you take some meds for the pain?

A mom friend of mine put baby orajel on her nipples when she had it. Just wiped off before pumping/nursing.

DD smushed chewed up gum into my couch! She also pooped in her panties. Yesterday she came home from school and told me she got put on yellow for hitting a kid, sticking her tongue out and tickling a kid..... The four year old stage is no fun. :-q [-(

@primrosemama thanks for the tips! I've taken some Advil here and there. LO is on Nystatin and I was prescribed some oral pill I take once and then three days later. I did read somewhere that baking soda can help. I made some paste with water and applied with a qtip. Hurt like a B at first, but then seemed to offer relief. I am going to try the orajel!

I nursed DS for over a year and never got it. Not sure where I went wrong this time.

I hope you feel better!!!!

We just had the funk (cough/congestion/flu) leave our house for 1 week. DD is in school now and happily brings home a funky virus which she passes on to me and DS. DH seems to get a virus 2x a year..le sigh. I'm tired of being sick, get well, sick, get well. Come on Spring!

I may or may not come after H in his sleep. I tend to do the majority of chores and care taking, plus work full time. He does a few things, and will help if I *ask* but asking usually involves nagging. Yesterday, I was making a new batch of baby food and made some to feed LO and asked H to feed him and he said, "I thought that was your job? I mean you feed, I do bath time." I said, "Well what are you going to do?" He said,"I thought I might relax for 2 seconds." It was right then and there I thought I was going to just attack. I proceeded to ask him when I got that chance because I had been working all day too.

GRRRRR... not a happy momma/wife.

It took him a bit, but I think we still have to have a serious talk about sharing responsibilities. I know there is an adjustment period with the first baby, but for reals it was an adjustment for me too. Sigh.

I was diagnosed with the flu yesterday. I feel miserable. To make matters worse, LO still hasn't had a flu shot because we were told to wait a few weeks before getting him the shot after he had rsv and pneumonia to let him recover. Ugh...
