So sometimes desperate times call for desperate measures. Tonight I was going to get my prenatal massage which I've been dying for! It's been three years since my last massage! I had to cancel last week due to my stupid fall down the stairs and today is the only day I can go due to dh schedule before he leaves town. Well I made a mistake and decided to eat a chicken cheese steak for lunch and a big coffee for breakfast. Nooooooo goooooooo! As soon as I ate I swear I felt an air bubble go right up my rib cage. You get the oh shit moment and you just know it's not going to be a good afternoon! Between baby kicks, the sweating an pains oh I wanted to hide. Who wants stomach issues at work and come on we all know you can't make it just stop and get a massage. So ran home to use the restroom god I swear hemis might of happened I was trying to get myself good to go so I could have my massage. I ended up taking a Imodium.. I know that is a no no during pregnancy and I never have before but god I was NOT giving up this massage. So I get there and refuse any cucumber water.. Wasn't taking chances getting the juices flowing. Massage was amazing.. Then I felt daring and figured better now then never and got myself a Brazilian :0 haha kinda gross if you think about it but hey I can't see down there and this may be the last chance!

With DS, I got Brazilians throughout my entire pregnancy, and used them as a time to practice my labor breathing and pain coping mechanisms. Talk about Type A!

You know the Brazilian didn't hurt! I guess we all have different lain tolerance but I guess not being swollen my lady parts were okay

I've been debating doing a Brazilian. I've waxed before, but never a Brazilian. Is it stupid to do it the first time while pg? I do have a pretty high pain tolerance.

TJ1979 I don't think so. I usually only go to one lady but she is far away so figured I would try someone new and she asked have you done it before while pregnant because I guess it hurts more because your swollen, the blood vessels etc. But litterally she was done in 5 minutes flat and im italian and it didn't hurt me at all! Then again I also believe it's based on the person that does it. I always say..im pregnant..give me the best person you got so it's less painful. I would go for it! If your not shy then go for it. I personally HATE hair.

i've never done a brazilian while pregnant, but i say go for it! i would love to get one...its just we moved a year and a half ago so i haven't found another place to go. i wish they didn't have like 25 year old skinny tan perfect girls doing them! haha- with my stretch marks and baby body, i want some old lady! LOL. glad you got your massage and enjoyed it mcgeeva!

amd1982 haha that is why I didn't get a massage for almost three years. I was so uncomfortable with my body and the changes. But waxing..ugh I'm sure they see everything. See the area I live in the best waxes are done by older ladies and they are the absolute best! No little skinny young brods here. It's always older ladies that have seen it all so you get all kinds of stories.
