Finally feeling tired in the pregnancy

29 weeks now and ive felt pretty good the whole time. Well this past weekend i pushed myself with back-to-back things driving a lot and running around all day and night both saturday and sunday. Well monday i was a mess -just exhausted and emotional. I really need to take it down a few knotches and take it easy. Is this pregnancy finally hitting anyone else?

Re: Finally feeling tired in the pregnancy

  • I am definitely more wiped out at this point.  If I do too much I do get to the point where I just start crying and then my DH just looks at me like "uh-oh, she has lost it!"  It stinks - I am kind of wondering if my iron is low or there is some other reason for it that I can fix, but I am afraid it just might be how things are from here on out.  My OB asked if I was able to get naps in the afternoon and I just laughed - um, I have a job and an 8-yr-old - no afternoon naps for me!

  • I've felt like this the whole pregnancy! I am actually feeling somewhat better because I am refusing to push myself so in won't get overtired!
  • Me! I hit the nesting stage and I spent all of last week cleaning my house like crazy. I was only sleeping a few hours every night because I couldn't quit thinking about what I needed to clean so I would eventually just get up and go clean. The last 2 days I have tried to take it easy though, my hips and back were so stiff that I couldn't walk. I have actually slept really hard the last 2 nights and it has felt great!

  • I was super tired in the 1st tri and then a bit more normal in the 2nd, now I'm tired again. Although, not as bad as the 1st tri! During it I would wake up at 6am for work, get home, eat, and be in bed (asleep) by 7pm!

    This exactly!

Also, on the rare nights where I get decent sleep, I try to get as much done the next day while I feel human.  The rest of those days, I just try to take it easy and not stress out (plus I'm on pelvic rest and have to avoid strenuous activities, which is just about everything right now).

  • I wish I could fall asleep until this baby arrives . No joke I am exhausted! I miss the days in my first pregnancy that I could nap when ever I felt tired. I didn't know how good I had it. Being pregnant with a toddler at home is no joke!
  • I was exhausted the whole time almost, worse in the first trimester. Lately it was getting worse again, but today, nesting hit. I'll feel it later!

  • I'm 28 weeks and it was all of a sudden that body just told me to take it easy. My daughter is 10mths so that's not always easy. DH works crazy hours, so me and my daughter are home alone most of the time and taking it easy is not always the best option. I'm always out of breath and I have gotten to the point where if something falls i just  leave it there because it iso too hard to pick it up.

I am alwasy getting out of breath now too.  I thought maybe I was anemic, even though I have been taking iron, but my bloodwork came back normal.  My DH is gone a lot too and normally I do a good job of keeping things together, but lately I am doing the bare minimum and just collapsing on the couch.
