I didn't manage to get this up yesterday, it's been a hectic weekend with in-laws visiting and I've managed to catch a cold, yuck! I hope everyone had a great (long) weekend!

EDD is 8/28. a little over 8 weeks. About a raspberry, I think.

no other kids, 1 furbaby doggie that was acting like a little kid today bugging me to play all afternoon

feeling ok, other than the cold I picked up

Good luck with your colds ladies!

1) Due date? How many weeks are you? What size is baby?   23 weeks

2) Age at delivery? (optional)   41

3) Any other children? Furbabies?   2 dogs. I'm a bit worried about my girl. She's 13 and acting a bit droopy and not eating well this week. Hopefully she'll bounce out of it. She's normally pretty frisky despite her age

4) How are you feeling? New symptoms this week? I'm over-scheduled this week and feeling tired.

5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?   I have a regular checkup this week.   As for milestones, I'm finally visibly pregnant to others I guess.

I had a stranger comment on it and a guy friend said I was "so cute". Made me laugh.

QOTW: Who is your favorite author? I mostly read non-fiction and don't stick to one author. For fiction, I like the Jack Reacher series by Lee Child.

3) Any other children? Furbabies? Nope, this is our first.

4) How are you feeling? New symptoms this week? Nothing of interest, just generally feel like I'm 7.5 months pregnant! Uncomfortable and wobbly!

5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves? Thursday. Need to get the Tdap and not looking forward to the sore arm!

QOTW: Who is your favorite author? No one favorite; there are those I think are great authors that I love, and those I think write things that are just plain fun to read!

And honestly, I'm ready to kill the boy today. He is barking at every blade of grass that dares to move and tracked mud everywhere. This is why even after of 11 years with him, he is still my husband's damn dog!

Feeling pretty good, can't complain. I did have some crazy charley horses the other night.

I'm so sick of this winter! Enough with the snow and below 0 temperatures!! Plus I'm ready for spring so I can wear cuter maternity clothes! : )

Feeling a lot better. The nausea seems to be letting up and the weird taste in my mouth is going away. I am not quite as tired, either. Second tri, here I come!

5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
Just received our results from the Mat21 test. All negative on the trisomies, and we're having a boy! (We're not telling anyone IRL, so you ladies will be the only ones to know.)

Choosing one favorite is always hard, but I love Isabelle Allende.

weeks are you? 33 weeks What size is baby? A durian fruit whatever that is lol

2) Age at delivery? 36

3) Any other children? Furbabies? Only 2 pups one of which injured his back leg today in the horrible snow and ice we have but I can't get him to the vet until tomorrow morning.

4) How are you feeling? New symptoms this week? Ended up in L&D last Friday for contractions 2 mins apart. They think it was dehydration. I have been drinking a TON of water since and am still having bad back pain and contractions off and on.

5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves? Follow up with my doctor tomorrow. Will see if he is going to put me on bed rest.

1) Due date? How many weeks are you? What size is baby? EDD 5/7/2014. 25 weeks today which is apparently the size of a cauliflower. At the growth scan we had 2 days ago the measurements came up with an estimate that she weighs 1 1/2 pounds.

3) Any other children? Furbabies? 2 cats - that's all.

4) How are you feeling? New symptoms this week? Waking up more in the night - to pee and/or because of being really thirst. Also getting over a cold so the stuffiness contributes to the waking up and to being thirsty. Oh well. Otherwise feeling OK really, and have been feeling LO move a lot more in the last few days which is fun!

5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves? A little worried from the ultrasound we had 2 days ago ... I'm getting sent for growth scans every 4 weeks because of being over 38 (which is apparently the cutoff for this at the practice that my midwives send people to for the 20 week A/S) so had the first of those Monday and after having been at the 56th percentile or so for size at the A/S, LO is now only at the 27th percentile. All the measurements (which showed in the corner of the screen while the sonographer did them) were 3-6 days behind in terms of gestational age. She said it's still in the normal range, not officially "small" but it still makes me worry a little. Do any of you who are a little farther along or who aren't FTMs and were also old enough with your previous baby/ies to have this extra monitoring have any experience with LO measuring small?

QOTW: Who is your favorite author? hmm ... the guy who writes Frazz comic strips. Maybe. Or for childrens' books (since that is almost all of the reading I do that isn't online or professional books) ... I love love love the "Henry and Mudge" and "Mr. Putter and Tabby" series by Cynthia Rylant. So perfect for first graders! Some of her other books are great too; some others I don't like so much, but those two series are wonderful.

4) How are you feeling? New symptoms this week? Nausea has fully set in. It's awful. I was hardly sick at all with my DS, just slight nausea. This all day nausea that makes me dry heave and/or vomit is AWFUL.

5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves? 1st appt with high risk dr tomorrow. 3rd appt with regular OB on Monday

QOTW: Who is your favorite author? I love Nicholas Sparks but I read a lot and it's hard to pick one. I love time period books....holocost, WW2, etc.

@springbeduk2: I don't know anything about the extra growth scans, but there was a discussion on my BMB about measuring small at growth scans and and two expecting NICU nurses on our board had some replies you might find helpful: https://forums.thebump.com/discussion/comment/79555442/ Keep us updated!

@jbelle thank you for that link! The comments were helpful. I also just talked to MW to follow up on the scan and at this point she isn't worried at all as the size was proportional all-around and she said that since LO is still so small at this point even small differences in measurement can seem big/skew the percentile a lot. So we'll see how the next one goes and try not to worry until then!
