7 week awake time?

How long is your LO awake between feedings??

Re: 7 week awake time?

  • My LO just turned 8 weeks today, but for the past week or so, she's been awake anywhere from 1.5-2 hours of her three hour feeding intervals during the day. Occasionally she stays awake the whole time between feedings.

  • Pretty much the whole time from 4-5am to 6-7pm. He might cat nap for 10-15mins occasionally, and yesterday he slept for an hr middle of the day. The receptionist at the OBs office said her LO used to do that, then started to sleep more during the day as he got older, so fingers crossed

My LO is almost 7 weeks and other than her 1.5 hr morning nap, she's usually up for about 1.5-2 hrs of our 2.5-3 hr feeding intervals, so she has a lot of small naps during the day. She does STTN tho.
  • Glad to hear everyone else's los are all over the place too.

  • It depends on the day. LO is 6 weeks tomorrow and some days she is up a lot more than others. On her "sleepy" days it's all I can do to get her up for her feedings, but most days she is up for awhile in between feeds. HTH

  • My LO is only 6 weeks today but he is probably awake for a total of maybe 6/7 hours during the day.  He is awake for an hour/hour and a half after most of his feedings except for a 2 hour nap I put him down for at the same time as my older son.

  • My LO is 6 weeks and still sleeps most of the time! Usually with her longest awake time in the evening. She was 3 weeks early and super tiny (4lbs 2ozs at birth 6lbs now) so I think that's why she still sleeps a lot.

  • It depends on if we are out and about he'll sleep pretty much the whole time. If were at home all day he's up, with 15-45min (usually 15 min) catnaps. No matter what he'll always fuss from 4-6ish at night, go to bed at 7 after last bottle, wake at 12-1am for a feeding, again at 4-5ish for feeding, then sleep until 7-8 before getting up for the day.

Sorry, I know I'm giving more info than was asked.

  • Okay I'm happy to read that some LOs are still pretty sleepy.
