Good OB/GYN in Rutherford County or at Vanderbilt

Hello all,

I work at Vanderbilt, but live in Rutherford County. Could you all recommend an OB/GYN that you love in either area?

Thanks!

  • I used a midwife at the 100 oaks location, Lelani.  She was great!

I saw Leilani a couple of times and I liked her too. I went to the Vanderbilt midwives at the West End women's health center and had a great experience. I would highly recommend them.

I was upset she couldn't do my c-section, but I didn't see who was doing it anyways, so I guess it didn't matter at the end of the day.

  • Dr. Boles is AMAZING! He is by the New Hospital :) I had a c-section & my scar is barely visible. He makes you feel very comfortable & is am awsome doc.
  • I see Dr. Kelly Williams at MMC in Murfreesboro.  He is very good...and MMC is a great place to go because there is always someone available.  The NP there is very good too...I've seen her a couple of times.  Erin Norman.  Hope this helps!

  • Women's Medical Clinic at MTMC is fab! Dr. Moore is my dr. and i love her! She immediately calmed me just by seeing her face which was important since this was my first.  But all the ladies in the practice are amazing!

  • My OB at Vandy was Dr. Weeks.  I also saw her partner Dr. Hemingway a lot and she was great.  Dr. Rebelie delivered my son.  I have nothing but great things to say about all 3!

I see Dr Moore at the Women's Health Specialists practices as well.  She helped us through some minor infertility treatments (clomid & provera), oversaw my pregnancy, and delivered my baby.  They're a huge practice so scheduling is a little hectic, but she really gives personal attention.  I really reccomend them.

  • Big Smile So happy to hear you say this - I have an appointment with her in a few days, and I was getting nervous because the person I normally see doesn't do prenatal care anymore.

  • Are you talking about C. Brent Boles? If so that's my doctor.
  • Talk about old post, but I finally need it now (yea!) I currently see Dr. Cherise Felix at Providence OB/GYN at Stonecrest, but I don't think Stonecrest will take my insurance for L&D, so I'm going to
Vanderbilt West End Midwives' open house next week. Wish me luck.

  • I went to dr boles one time. I actually transferred bc I felt like he had so many patients there wasn't even time to meet me. He delivers 300 babies a year and 1/3 if all babies born at mtmc. And I was NOT going to have a c section. He had so many babies that he can't labor them all and opts out to a c section for no reason. I am now going back to my old obgyn from Columbia dr kurtz he's the best!
  • I go to the West End Midwives and cannot recommend them enough! I actually switched to them in my 3rd trimester because my OB was not natural birth friendly at all.
