Hi ladies!

Good luck to everyone cycling!! Especially @kaf7, @mdiblasi10 and @bellalou32 !!

((Hugs)) to everyone else who needs them.

This check-in is open to anyone that is part of the SAIF community and is currently TTC again, either on their own, or via injectibles, IUI, IVF, adoption, etc. Occasionally, I do a bit of clean up. If you have dropped off and would like to be added again, just comments and you'll be back in business

TTC again, even after successfully bringing home a LO (or multiple LOs) is a stressful process for all of us, and this group is meant to allow us the opportunity to provide support and suggestions to one another, and to receive the same in return.

A check-in will be posted every week. Please send me a PM or reply to the check-in post if you would like to be added to the group. Each check-in will provide the opportunity for you to provide an update as to where you currently are in your TTC.

QOTW: What is your biggest challenge as a mom?

AKB090609- I had an us yesterday to check for cysts since I'm on cd48. The tech saw 'something', but of course couldn't tell me what. Waiting is hard.

ancp27 - 1/15 - We are TTC, kind of. We planned to go back to the RE this month but still no AF. I'll start charting for a few months once it's back. I'm not sure if we'll do any IUI'S r go straight to IVF. Hopefully we'll get lucky again.

Byrne15 - TTC #3, no treatments this time. Just hoping for success the old fashioned way

Ducky719 – 1/22 - AF officially showed herself early this AM! DH and I talked this past weekend and I told him we are so close to LO being 1 that when AF shows I was going to start temping. So...I guess it's time. It's exciting but not. I guess I don't think TTC on our own will work, but I guess we shall see. Lord knows I'll be disappointed if this first cycle of trying doesn't work (will I ever learn??).

Cbubbles2 - currently TTC on own, FET in 2014

Mayzie15 - 1/22 - all my tests are back now just waiting for MH sperm analysis and hoping it's not any worse than last time. MFI is tough . Once we have the results I will call my RE and set up the AFC and hoping its good.

Mnerani - 1/22 - I caved and tested early today at 11DPO and got a faint BFP. WHAT?! I couldn't believe that I O'ed on my own this month, and it just seems too good to be true that I'm actually pregnant with no medical intervention.

PappsMcGee - planning to go back to seek treatments when ready (FX for a surprise for you in the mean time!)

TTC, with treatments

BabyKsMommy - 1/22 - I was supposed to do a menopur cycle but apparently my insurance changed so instead of a $25 co-pay they wanted $800. So I'm on Femara instead which I have never tried. I'll give Femara 3 tries then I'm not sure.

Bellalou - 1/22 - Just started 2nd phase of estrace. U/s sat to see if fluid is gone

chiwifey - 1/22 - Just waiting on AF which should start in the next several days. Day 2 I'll go for baseline u/s & b/w, and start stims!!!

ccam - 1/22 - Just had my lining check this morning and it was nice and thick at 11.8 So we're good to go! Transfer is next Thursday, 1/30.

Efhoping2010 - 1/22 - FSH is now 8.9 and AMH is now 0.8 In 2012 my FSH was 3.2 and AMH was 0.98. Feeling a bit blah over it all. I am going to talk to DH about the results tonight.

Emwaiting - TTC #2, I have never checked in before. We had to do IVF for #1 and we were lucky to have IVF work on the first try. DS is almost 3 months and I am currently on day 4 of Provera. I will start Clomid and Femara after AF arrives, monitor follicles and then do timed intercourse and see what happens. Drs think our best chance for #2 is to try ASAP and we are sooo lucky DS is such a good baby!!!

fullfhope - 1/22 - I'm on cycle day 5, day 4 of stims, and I go on Friday morning for monitoring. I'm paranoid that despite the high doses they will find that I'm not responding and then cancel the cycle.

Hadams85 - 5 days into my 2WW. Had my first IUI last Thursday. Trying to wait oh so patiently for next week to test. No signs or symptoms yet, almost like nothing has happened.

Hopeful1981 - TTC #2, currently on CD34 waiting for AF to start so that I can embark on my IVF cycle. I have endo and have been on Lupron since CD23. Will be stimming with Follistim and Menopur.

Kaf7 - 1/22 - Just trying to chill out during my 2ww. At times I feel certain there is someone in there but since last night I've felt more like there isn't.

mdiblasi10 - 1/22 - I'm on CD7. I was on 125IU Follistim the first three nights with not much growth and an E2 of 79, so my RE bumped me up to 150IU for last night and tonight. Next monitoring appointment (and acupuncture, yay!) are tomorrow.

MoFree - 1/122 - I'm just waiting for AF to arrive some time in early Feb so I can start my natural cycle FET. Until then nothing to do but prepare myself mentally.
nycbride0707 - I go in Sat for one last check, and then hopefully everything looks good and transfer in Sunday, with beta 11/19. Been doing PIO since Tues, man I'm sore!

Pam MG - 1/22 - We did the transfer on the 10th and got a positive beta on Monday. Went back for the follow up beta and the number went down and they told me to stop taking the medication. I am at a complete loss and this feel is so much worse than when the fresh IVF just did not take. I became so attached even though it has only been 2 days and I think this is worse because I know what I am going to miss out on not to mention the coming up miscarriage. We only have one egg left and it is the lowest grade egg out of the 7 we got. If this doesn't work then Declan will be an only child and that kills me because I do not want that for him but I do not think I could go through that process again.

PennyLane26 - 1/22 -Had my saline sono this morning. I was hoping that would be the end of pre-cycle testing for me, but they found a polyp The NP said it was small-ish but that if my RE was concerned they would call me to schedule a hysteroscopy. Praying that's not the case! Boo.

readyornot24 - 1/22 - I took a break for a bit but now I am back and planning my next IVF. Looks like I will be starting in Feb with antagonist protocal using HGH, so that is new...retrieval should be end of Feb. I have been trying to eliminate wheat, dairy, and sugar for the past three weeks as a mini cleanse. I am feeling better on it and planningto stick with it through my IVF. Now I just need to get to the gym!

Rjade9 - I'd like to be added! We have our appointment with our RE next Thursday to come up with a plan for our FET. In the meantime we are not, not trying

srveatch - 1/22 - H and I have been off birth control since A was born and month after month I am disappointed that we weren't one of those lucky couples who needed help the first time but had the happy surprise pregnancy for the second. So I am back in the game with a FET. I had my saline sonogram this morning and was cleared for cycle. I am on estrace and have a lining check on the third with a potential transfer scheduled for the 12th.

kzawisl - 1/8 - No update. Still saving our pennies and hoping for Menopur donations from OOP meds or my RE.

millie1984 - 1/15 - We are not actively trying yet, but MH and I have an appointment with our RE today to talk about IVF for TTC#2. We are going to go over things like cost and if our insurance will cover PGD, etc. We are also going to see if I am a candidate for IVF. So we're hoping to come out of the day with a game plan and more of a timeline for when we want to start officially TTC again.

Robeano - 12/27 - after some soul searching, I'm gonna take a break from trying until I get down to pre-pregnancy weight. I gained a bunch of weight in the last two months and I don't want to start off being pregnant this heavy.

CallMeAl - 12/27 - BFP, edd 2/26/14. Our last u/s showed the cyst is completely resolved! DS looked great and things are moving along with his nursery. I'm having some not fun symptoms, but I will live!

Mcgeeva - 1/22 - Nada here. Have an apt next Tuesday. So excited with each week that passes. Around this time last time I was sent home for contractions and in labor the next week - 2 months early. So each week feels like im getting closer with no issues this time around. Couldn't be happier.

RoseHQ12 - 24 weeks & so happy to be at this point. GTT today & looks like I passed phew! SCH still lingers, it's my other "baby" at this point!

Imoverit – 1/22 - U/S on Mon for cervix check and baby measurement. Im so ready to be off work.

Wiscgirl95 - IVF cycle successful! beta #1 is 66

Mr.& Mrs. Woodtick - 12/27 - Our follow up ultrasound looked good. Baby is still a boy, and our AS is scheduled for Tuesday (12/31/13).

TJ1979 - 16 weeks today. Feeling better most of the time. My back is hurting REALLY badly, but other than that sometimes I forget I'm pregnant. Loving feeling deuce wiggling around in there!!

Cwhitaker27 - 12/27 - I'll be 11 weeks tomorrow. We told our families on Sunday at "our Thanksgiving". I just told the doctors I work with today since I was off mon/tues sick and throwing up all day. They were/are very supportive so that's great! We are telling the rest of our family and friends via our Christmas card next week. Overall still feeling very sick but happy to let the cat outta the bag mostly.

Eve_Angelique - 1/22 - Feeling pretty pregnant and still having quite a bit of m/s and pretty tired. But its reassuring to me that things are still cooking. Looking forward to my first appt with my midwives on the 31st.

Kdfecarie - 1/22 -We had our ultrasound, and all went well, we have graduated to the OB and we are on our way! I have been real sick this time which is so different than last time!

carrera317 - 1/22 - I had another bleeding episode this past Saturday and into Sunday. Talk about anxiety producing. I was able to wait for my US on Tuesday. It showed a little gummy bear with a heart beat in the 170's that measured 8weeks. My RE just about jumped up and down when he saw the HB. The whole room let out a sigh of relief. So 2 more weeks of PIO and off to the OB. The anxiety hasn't lessened since the time between RE discharge and first OB visit is when I miscarried last time. I am hoping it's peaking and I can get past this and move on to some smooth sailing. I am super excited to be with a bunch of ladies allude around the same time.

Kissies - 1/22 - went for 2nd u/s tues baby 8w4d with hb of 176. still no blood or sch so still unknown why I'm spotting. Praying I don't miscarry, I see the ob next thurs

Saraevh - Noah Christopher was born on December 3rd at 8:01am via c-section. He was 7lb 7oz and 19.5" long!

QOTW: BFing was a huge challenge for me, but I think the hardest challenge overall has been trying to find a balance - with work, time with DS and, most of all, time for DH. Oh, and me-time, which isn't really on my radar, I'm sure I'll figure that out eventually!

We have the work thing down and it's like second nature now (even though "how am I going to do it all" was one of my biggest fears when I was pregnant!). DH and I are trying to focus more on our relationship now, too. Now that we are parents, I don't want to just forget the "us" part, we need that!

QOTW: The hardest part of being a Mom for me is making time for myself. I don't make any because I have such a hard time spending any time away from G. But everyone needs a little "me" time here and there. I am working on it this year

QOTW: Like everyone else..making me time seems to be a thing of the past. It wouldn't be so hard but with DH traveling a ton, even when he is home it's rare. I get a nice prenatal massage tonight but of course the joy is kind of taken out. DH leaves next week for god knows how long and he has to work late every night this week so he is already wondering what time I will be home so he can head back to work tonight. UGh...the never ending pressure of not having enough time But again this is why us moms are amazing...becuase we bust our bums and do everything I feel like and we kick ass at doing it!

Just trying to chill out during my 2ww. At times I feel certain there is someone in there but since last night I've felt more like there isn't. QOTW: definitely balancing work and home for me too. I find it tough to be on full baby duty when I get home since DH is SAHD. Even on days like today where I got home at lunch because of a blizzard LO is all my responsibility even though I have lots of work related stuff to do.

My update: I caved and tested early today at 11DPO and got a faint BFP. WHAT?! I couldn't believe that I O'ed on my own this month, and it just seems too good to be true that I'm actually pregnant with no medical intervention.

I ran out and got a beta test (15) and progesterone b/w (30). On Friday, I go in for repeat blood work, at which point I'll let the SAIF board know, if there's good news to share. I don't think I'll be able to eat, sleep, or concentrate on work until then!

QOTW: Staying patient when DS pushes the boundaries. And DS is pretty easy going, which makes me wonder how bad my lack-of-patience problem really is...

I keep to myself while cycling but I wanted to get this out. We did the transfer on the 10th and got a positive beta on Monday. Went back for the follow up beta and the number went down and they told me to stop taking the medication. I am at a complete loss and this feel is so much worse than when the fresh IVF just did not take. I became so attached even though it has only been 2 days and I think this is worse because I know what I am going to miss out on not to mention the coming up miscarriage. We only have one egg left and it is the lowest grade egg out of the 7 we got. If this doesn't work then Declan will be an only child and that kills me because I do not want that for him but I do not think I could go through that process again.

That is so tough. Huge hugs. I try to remember that even though there are better odds with better quality embies, people have gotten pg with poor quality ones. This is our only shot with our only embie and if it doesn't work our LO will be an only child too unless we end up adopting down the road. It's a hard thing to come to terms with. But I think you still have hope with your frostie. Hugs again.

QOTW: My biggest challenge is ME time. DH and I are on a good page and get out for date nights frequently, and I only work part-time from home so work is pretty good, but I've been skipping the gym and not even spending much time getting ready for the day. My first priority seems to be everyone else, I have to remind myself that a 30 minute swim or giving myself a blow out after the shower is ok! I have lost all of the baby weight, but that's mostly because I skip out on meals during the day! I'm so focused on editing (my work from home job) and G that I literally forget to eat.

QOTW: biggest challenges for me are connecting with my husband. I get so caught up in being a mom, then I let my frustrations and impatience out on DH when he gets home. And now we are TTC #2, and I worry that we need to work on our relationship, get closer again.

QOTD. Can I say ditto to pp?! The whole balancing time w kid and/or hubby and work, etc is a monumental challenge. My other challenge is getting enough sleep!!! I sooo miss sleeping in and going to bed early and taking naps! Boy that sounds selfish. I knew that would be what I would miss when I got pregnant and became a mom. I love to sleep.

Hey @Pennylane26...not to be a Debbie downer but that's the exact reason I ended up doing a FET rather than a fresh transfer. My RE said a polyp acts like an IUD. I'd definitely ask about it. Our embies are too precious.

QOTD: As PPs have expressed, the biggest challenge is balance between motherhood, marriage, career and me time (whatever that is). I also struggle with reacting appropriately to some of LO's actions. I don't want to be that parent who doesn't discipline her child but also remember she is a toddler and testing limits every single day.

We had our ultrasound, and all went well, we have graduated to the OB and we are on our way! I have been real sick this time which is so different than last time!

QOTD: i am a SAHM so i always worry if my son is learning enough, or on track developmentally, it my biggest challenge!

Update. U/S on Mon for cervix check and baby measurement. Im so ready to be off work.

QOTW. Biggest challenge is patience. Sometimes I forget that my kid is a kid and I end up over reacting to things. Not something Im proud of but working on.

QOTW: I would say adjusting to working full time, and having DH take care of things at home. Our ideas of what should be cleaned and accomplished on a daily basis are very different and I have to let some things go so I can be sane. But it can be stressful when I come home to a house that is crazier then when I left!

Update: Feeling pretty pregnant and still having quite a bit of m/s and pretty tired. But its reassuring to me that things are still cooking. Looking forward to my first appt with my midwives on the 31st.
