  I'm also a Nov.13 mom but LO was born at the end of November so I lurk here sometimes too.
  
  I have a tilted uterus and am now on my second mirena. I had the first one placed after DD was born in 2011 and absolutely loved it. I had absolutely no issues with it. I had it removed and was able to conceive my first cycle after it was removed.
  
  I just had my second placed yesterday. Both times the placement was very quick with only minor discomfort. The first time I spotted for about 3 weeks. My period also did not return last time so I am anxious to see if I will have the same result this time.

  Barista, were you EBFing? After ds1 I wasn't on any bc and didn't get a period for 9 months.

  Thanks for asking this, I have a tilted uterus as well and am having an iud placed at my 6 week fu next week. Another question for you iud ladies. Am I going to be able to have sex right after its placed? It's been so long and we are both looking forward to being cleared by doc, but I started thinking maybe we can't for awhile after the iud placement. Sorry for the thread jack, but along similar lines...

  I didn't have any problems last time they did an US to check placement and that was all. I had it for 5 years and never had an issue. I'll be getting another placed in a couple weeks

  I EBF DD for 13 month and we concieved DS when DD was 23 months. So even after I weaned DD I still didn't have a period.
  
  ETA: I was told we could have sex immediately after placement.

  I've got a retroverted uterus and have had 4 IUD's placed with no problems, just discomfort. As for PP who asked about sex, my OB just told me to wait a day or so and that since I was 6 days after my period started he said it wasn't necessary to use a back up method.
