Dudes. I think we have a serial killer.

So since last August, 5 people have gone missing in our area. Last year the first was found in the river, and yesterday they found two bodies in the river. Two people are still missing.
Four of these cases have been high profile. One of the bodies they found yesterday hadn't been reported missing yet to media.
Everyone around here is freaking out and thinking there is a serial killer. All of the people missing/dead aren't similar at all, but still.
S/O is not allowed to go biking by himself this year, I've banned him. This is getting scary!

Also, two of those people were near my neighborhood when they were last seen. The guy they found last year was walking around super late at night by the bars/restaurants by my house which is way up the hill from the river. I guess he was drunk, but was found days later in the river miles away from our city.
And the girl thats still missing was last seen getting gas by the station a few blocks from me and getting Taco Bell on the same street.
I want to move now.

God, I hate D-port! I won't drive there at night in half the neighborhoods, I get lost all the time, and it's too crowded.
They have way better restaurants/shopping, though. And they have a nice mall. I live in Rock Island, so it's a pain to travel to Iowa, the bridges are always a mess.

I love this^ whole conversation because I know exactly what you mean.
Right?! I like ethnic food, but if its a family affair, we have to eat American, which limits good options.
However, I will eat the eff outta some TGI Fridays.

Update: The news just reported that the one guy they found yesterday died of hypothermia. =[
