I'm done! I'm free! I cut the leash to my pump and it feels fabulous! If LO had nursed easily I would probably still be BF but I made the best out of the situation and made it work for 6.5 months. DH wanted me to stop BF our 1st night home from the hospital so I'm sure he is happy too.
To all the other EP moms- keep rocking that pump!
ETA I'm gonna enjoy the large part of a bottle of wine tonight and not worry about pumping after!!!!!

My blog-The Wino That I Know
Our lil' diva: late like her Momma: 40 weeks 5 days!
My goal is to keep EP'ing until LO is eight months and either quit or set a new goal...
I was only pumping 4x per day once I went back to work at 12 weeks. My usual routine was 0700, 1200, 1700, 2100. My supply dipped when I returned to work but I was able to keep up for awhile. Then my supply started decreasing more when my period returned.
I chose to drop my 1700 pump first because I always hated that one and it would only produce 2-3 oz. Then I pushed back my 1200 pump to around 1400 and started shortening it. I waited about 2-3 weeks before dropping the 1400 pump all together. My supply kept going down from there. I waited another week and dropped my morning pump. Another week or so and I was only producing 1 oz at my nightly pump. I thought "this is silly to pump for 1 oz" so I finally stopped.
I would only occasionally have issues with a clogged duct. Nothing serious. I don't think I'll have any issues now since I was only making 1 oz daily.
***Change of plans- the wine I thought I had was consumed by company last month. I will now consume whipped cream vodka and root beer! Mmmm!
