Hi mommies!! Question. My daughter is 7 weeks old and she falls asleep in her swing sometimes. My mom freaked out when she saw that I let her sleep in her swing... Thoughs?
My daughter will be 7 weeks and tonight was the first time she has slept in her swing for more then 10 minutes. She actually slept in it for an hour and a half. I got dinner made took a shower and started laundry. I am glad she finally liked it.
Yea my kid pretty much lives in her swing. I'm going to try and wean her off of it soon, but that's only because I don't want to deal with the transition once I'm back working. Team whatever gets baby to sleep!
Ben sleeps in the swing a good bit too. If I put him in his crib he only sleeps 1-2 hrs, if he's in the swing he sleeps a solid four. So my compromise is that he does his first stretch in the swing then we do the crib for the rest of the night. I know it's not great but I neeeeed some sleep!
Ds1 loved the swing too. He napped in it all the time and once I transitioned him to the crib for naps we'd use the swing for him to sleep in when he was congested. He was a big baby and it was quite a sight to see him in that swing when he was clearly too big for it...hehe. anyway, he's turned out to be just a fine sleeper.
I let my kiddo sleep in the swing and the RNP. He actually really does not sleep in his pnp or his crib. He hates to be swaddled so I have come to the conculsion this little guy loves smaller sleeping spaces and that is ok with me.
All my first DD would sleep in was the swing. I seriously thought she would never sleep anywhere else then around 6 weeks we transitioned her to the crib and she was fine. Seriously, the swing was my best friend!
