Are they BF or formula? If BF, I don't know about the sticky part but if baby is getting too much foremilk it can be green. They need to nurse longer to get the more vitamin rich hind milk towards the back of your breast. Try sticking to one breast or starting on the same side to see if that helps.
Does it have a distinct smell to it? The dr said occasional green is normal in a bf baby. LO had it for 3 days and smelled horrible... They said she had a stomach virus and the green poop could last up to 7 days from a virus.
Green can be to much foremilk, but if it's mucousy it's possible there's an allergy to dairy or something else. My 2 oldest have dairy allergies, and this LO started having green mucousy poop so I've cut dairy out of my diet.

It's very normal for BF babies to have green, brown, yellow, or any combination of those colors of poop. Green can be a sign of too much foremilk, so letting baby nurse longer on one side before switching (or not switching at all since it's not necessary) *might* help (or it might not). As PPs said, it can be a sign of a dairy intolerance, but this is actually a lot less common than most people think. (A lot of times it starts to improve when dairy is cut out, but there's no way of knowing in how many of these cases it would have improved on its own.) But it's a possibility. Or it could just be one of those weird but normal baby things. I wouldn't hesitate to call the pedi if it worries you at all or if it worsens/continues. Trust your instincts if you think something is wrong.
