Advice on thawed milk.

I want to cry. I am crying a little. Extra milk was taken out of the freezer by my sitter. Four one oz bags. I know that they should be used within 24 hrs, but do you think they'll be ok after 36 hours? I don't work tommorow and I usually just feed him myself. I know I could feed him the bottle myself and pump, but that takes twice as long. I absolutely HATE pumping, and do you know how long it takes me to pump four oz? I really want to cry.

    It's fine! I've done it and the milk has never spoiled or smelled any different, and LO didn't seem to notice at all!

    Same here. Do a sniff and taste test in the AM, but it's probably OK. Remember, those times are an average guideline. Not an exact expiration date.

    I think they would be fine.  There were days that i sent a thawed bottle to daycare and he didn't drink it.  I sent it again the next day.  Just give it a smell/taste.

    In the future, don't have your sitter take them out unless they're needed. It is very fast and easy to thaw bags under cool/lukewarm water if LO ends up needing them. This is what I do now with my LO.. Send 3 prepared bottles and 1 bag frozen, because there are times that I may get off unexpectedly early and I don't want that last bag thawed if she won't need it.
