Stupid, stupid, stupid.

I am a post whore today, sorry.  It's probably because LO is NAPPING.  FINALLY.  OMG.  I have nothing to do at the moment.

Anyway.  DH always comes to bed after me and always flings the blankets around like an asshole, tearing them off of me and invariably waking me up.  Lately, I've been suggesting that he fold back the covers on his side and try to slip under them with as little fuss as possible in order to avoid waking me.  I even demonstrated how I do it, since I can successfully avoid waking him after every MOTN feeding.  Apparently he did this successfully last night, and then WOKE ME UP TO TELL ME.  I think he expected congratulations or something.  I was as pleasant and gracious as I could be while still taking a firm WTF stance on the issue.

What stupid shit has occurred around or because of you recently?

Edit:  Made some words better.

Re: Stupid, stupid, stupid.

  • DH and I were doing our usual Sunday clean of the house.  We did a few of our "normal" chores backwards (he washed dishes, I took out the trash).  Normally I put in a new trash bag, but since I took out the trash I figured he did.  Well Monday night I notice that he has piled all the kitchen trash up next to the trash can BECAUSE HE DIDN"T PUT A BAG IN THERE AND WAS WAITING FOR ME TO DO IT.
DH will just throw everything in the empty bin and then it gets gross with food and what not. Ugh.

  • DH was a total jerkface to me last night. I just got an apology via text message.

Now, that is some stupid shit.

"The cleaning, the scrubbing will wait til tomorrow,
For children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.
So, quiet down cobwebs. Dust go to sleep.
I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep."
  • DH said he would help with MOTN things last night since he is working from home today so I wouldn't have to do everything myself like I did the past 4 or 5 nights.  (He is usually a big help, but he just got his wisdom teeth out so I have been doing everything.)  Apparently by helping he meant rolling over and asking if I needed anything before he fell back to sleep.

  • Ah. Every once in a while I have to say..."You realize you don't get extra brownie points for doing what you are supposed to(or not being a dick), you get brownie points for doing extra things."

  • Omg to all of this.

Yesterday before I went to work in the morning, I took the towels out of the dryer and piled them on the couch (HINT) and threw a new load into the dryer. DH didn't work until 2:30 and left the towels on the couch. Our nanny (SIL) ended up taking care of it.

  • Dh has studied Kung Fu for years. Lately he complains about not having enough time to train. Last night he thought midnight was a good time to do it. He ended up waking up myself and DD1 and I was convinced he was actually battling an intruder. (Maybe a bit of a freak out on my part.)

I ended up sitting up until 3am until I could calm down enough to go back to sleep.

  • DH's version of taking care of LO in the MOTN: oh he's crying, I'll give him his pacifier, oh he's still crying, I'll go get his mom.

I came and looked and said "we'll pick him up."

He got him quite and put him right back down (literally 30 seconds after picking him up) and what do you know, LO started crying again. DH gave me this look that said "now what?"

    Really?!?
  • YES - to all of the above. Glad it's not just my DH. I've been so aggravated with him recently. He does one thing and expects all this praise. I'm so over it.

  • We steered the craziness of the move from LA to OC this weekend. While searching for our toiletries I find a garbage bag leaking blue gunk all over. My husband conveniently packed the open bottle of toilet cleaner, with our toothbrushes. In a garbage bag. Thanks hunny!!! As you can see unpacking is becoming quite a challenge :( I'm trying to check in and catch up! Plus we still done have wifi. My husband even said oh she's mad about no wifi because she can't go on the bump! Haha!! Miss you all!
  • @julianndelaney the bump is necessary for your sanity! Tell him to get that wifi hooked up ASAP! :)
