Bleeding after cervix check this AM... normal????

I'm waiting to hear back from my Dr but they are backed up bc we had bad weather this morning and there have been lots of car accidents. But I had my cervix checked this am at my appointment, and I just went to the bathroom and I'm bleeding- kind of a lot. It's not red so I'm guessing it's old blood, but has this happened to anyone else?

    Thanks ladies! She didn't warn me, but then again it was a crazy morning at the dr office. She kept getting calls from women who were in car accidents and falls from the weather. I was in the exam room for 45 minutes before she got to me- at least I got a nice nap in! I thought it was normal, just wanted some reassurance. It was a lot of blood so I was shocked and slightly panicked- like the toilet water was almost brown after I had peed.

    Another reason why I decline cervical checks!!

    The nurse seemed shocked yesterday when she asked if I wanted to be checked and I responded no. My baby's breech. She's not coming out that way anyway, why would I want to take my pants off if I don't have to!?! Besides the fact that how far you are dilated or effaced tells you NOTHING!

    Im glad you asked, i had my first check today with the nurse practioner and started bleeding a little afterward. She did not warn me that this was normal, but i thought i remembered it being normal from posts on here. Glad you ladies could confirm that!

    You can spot after sex too.

    great to know! I had my first check and had brown spotting on my pantiliner and was contemplating calling tomorrow....glad I read this!
